BAGHDAD _U.S. authorities in Baghdad have received five severed fingers belonging to four Americans and an Austrian who were taken hostage more than a year ago in Iraq , U.S. officials said Wednesday.
The FBI is investigating the grisly development, and the families of the five kidnapped contractors have been notified, American officials said on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to discuss the case publicly.

It just kills me that all these peacenik meatheads are constantly calling the US the lone torturer of the world, and yet they cannot show one instance where we cut off fingers of prisoners, or, God forbid, cut off heads. Show me anyone who ever died from waterboarding. We don’t line them up and shoot them or feed them into wood chippers. We make sure they get Halal food and have their personal Qur’an and visits from lawyers. But yet, we are the torturers of the world. There is a very real enemy here within the US, and the media is their best friend.

Amen to your prayer for Steve. Lord God be with all those who are hostage. Speak to them in their difficult circumstances. Give them hope. Remind them of specific passages in Your Word which give comfort only You can provide. Be with their families.
Lord God, You use all things for Your purposes. Give these hostages Kingdom-purposes in their captivity.
Lord God, if we as Your children are angry at this, then we know You in Your righteousness are angry, too.
Rise up and DO something God. You are more powerful than the god of these infidels. Show Yourself for who You are: Sovereign and Supreme! There is NO God besides You. Show it! We stand in agreement in prayer before You. Two or more ARE gathered. Answer our prayers and fulfill Your promises! We will stand before Your throne as Elijah stood before the altar with the bull on it, waiting for Your power to descend and burn up the offering. Ever time I tell someone words to that effect I get hit with,”You are just a bigot, I know ______ who is a muslim and they are just as nice as they can be.”
So I stopped saying anything. They will learn for themselves soon enough.
I believed the President when shortly after 9-11 he said that anyone harboring terrorists or working with them would be treated the same.
But now look...Iran has been supplying expertise and men (and the advanced IEDs) to the anti-US forces in Iraq; they are in a fair way to develop nuclear warheads *and* the medium-range missiles to attack Israel and other Mid-East countries, or even Europe. They took Brit sailors hostage; and tried bluffing our navy (remember Fred Thompson's line in the debate about 'one more step and they'd meet those 72 virgins they keep talking about' ?) ...And the best we've actually done in response is...what?

Obviously, at this point, we don't have the balls nor the opportunity to do what should have been done in 2003, and would have blown over by the 2004 elections. In that case, we will see the various factions of ragheads (who are now stockpiling weaponry) kill each other off after the next president gets us out. At least if its Obama, that will happen sooner rather than later.
No war, unless it's all out. And Iraq should have been all out.
I agree with Faith in prayer. O Holy God, you are holy and deserve all praise and glory. These infidels mock you and stain the human race with their demonic actions. Please bring them down and destroy them for their inhumanity, for treating people like objects. We can’t prevail if you don’t help us, dear Lord. Please intervene in the situation and have mercy on these captives. We ask that you shine a spotlight on both captives and captors. Please bring the captives home safely. Somehow let your glory show in this, dear God. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

O Lord, our God, we expand our prayers to include all captives everywhere in the world. Please shine a spotlight on the situations. We ask that you make a way of escape. Bring rescuers. Loosen the bonds that hold those in bondage. Blind the eyes of the captors. Confuse them and help them make stupid mistakes that call attention to themselves. Strengthen the captives and help them turn to you in their hour of need, we pray. Shake the illegal prisons like a blanket and restore the captives to their loved ones. You are great and greatly to be praised! There is no God like you! Halleluia! The Lord God Almighty reigns! Amen.
