Posting and pinging the Rush Thread is difficult when you have a full time job. I can’t always be at my computer at the same time every day. I have to ping the thread whenever I can. Sometimes it is as early as 10:30 Eastern. Sometimes as later as 11:45. If you would like to take over for a while, let me know.

On our local radio this morning, the host was interviewing a professor of ‘Political Rhetoric’ at a local university. This professor was commenting on how very nuanced Obama’s speech was ...... said he’d been through it with a fine-toothed comb 3 or 4 times already, picked up something new each time, and thought if he went through it again, he’d find even more ‘content’. My point being ... now that Maha Rushie has had an entire evening to peruse, analyze, and focus the high beam of his intellect in detail on Obama’s ‘I Have an Excuse’ speech, today’s commentary should be exceptionally interesting.

I missed most of Rush yesterday. Did he speak about Obama’s treatment of his Grandmother? I'm still in shock over what he said. It bothers me to no end that he'd treat the woman who raised him and gave him a stable home like some member of the KKK. Imagine the sadness she must have felt after she heard his comments? I can't get it out of my head.
