Kid’s with married, involved, educated parents are going to do better academically regardless whether they are homeschooled or public schooled or private schooled. Since their aren’t many uneducated uninvolved parents trying to homeschool their kids, the stats are going to be skewed.

Very good point! Then it would seem that the resistance to homeschooling by the NEA and the government is due to the fact that those children are not subject to liberal indoctrination. It has nothing to do with credentials or achievement.

I think it is merely a case of the government getting scared that government school systems are getting too much competition. The public schools might also be worried that their prospective pupils are being wittled down to the dregs. That will make them look bad statistically and make it not very much fun to be a teacher at a public school.

These are just random ramblings on my part. I really don’t have any inside info or knowledge of the inner workings of education systems. I don’t have any kids.

It’s not about indoctrination for the NEA or the govt. It’s about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Where we live, they get $7,500 per child per year for public school enrollment. My daughter who is Special Education, they get $17,500 per year for her. They were TICKED when I withdrew four children from their income — I mean, schools.
