Washington, DC—Nevada Senator Harry Reid made the following statement today on the 4,000th military death in the war in Iraq:
“Today, as a grateful and grieving nation, we mourn the 4,000 servicemembers who have died in this war and honor their families who have sacrificed so much in service to this nation. The 4,000th death is no less regrettable than the 3,999 before it or any that may yet come; it is but the latest reminder that we still owe our nation’s bravest men and women a strategy to redeploy them from an endless civil war and make America more secure.
“Last week we began the sixth year of this costly war and last month we began the second year of President Bush’s surge – and yet Iraq’s leaders refuse to take responsibility for their own country. Today we ask the President to be honest with the American people, and finally to answer the question his own commander in Iraq, General Petraeus, asked more than five years ago: ‘Tell me how this ends.’”

Well over 100,000 have died on roads in American in that time. Harry Reid includes forklift accidents in Kuwait to arrive at his ceremonial figure of 4,000 war dead.
He is a scumbag.
We are creating two repulican principled nations in the heart of Indian (Al Quida and Jiahdist) country, which represent a mortal threat to all the enemy stands for. And in the process we have cornered and surrounded the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the World, Iran, and given them plenty to think of.
Oh, and did I mention that we have not had a major attack on our soil since 911?
Reed, you whiney, weasily, enemy abetting , sad excuse for a person. You would continue to try and push your political agenda on the backs of and in the blood of these brave, heroic Americans who have made all of this possible, and who have kept this nation safe by volunteering for thesees missions! They have answered their CINCs call, and he has made the necessary decisions. They all knew the score, and they volunteered and continue to re-inlist in huge numbers because they KNOW EXACLTY what they are accomplishing.
...and so do you. And their success galls you. The success of our president and our military personnel and their victories against abject enemies in the field galls you Reed...and that sickens me.
Got to embolden the insurgents to get that body count up. A Harvard study says that anti-war protests and talk of pullouts by ‘Rats embolden insurgents. It is estimated that insurgent activities increase at least 7-10% after they hear Reid and Pelosi and the Beast and Obama talk of cutting and running.
That means that 300 to 400 of those deaths and thousands of more injuries are directly attributable to the DNC.
