According to composite poll averages at Real Clear Politics, Obama has survived the Rev. Wright issue. After trailing McCain for several weeks, Obama has won four of five national polls since March 24. When plotted on a chart, McCain's support plateaued about March 15, and Obama's decline plateaued about March 15. Since March 25 Obama has been clearly trending up, and McCain has been clearly trending down.

Hey bro, I voted for Fred in the primaries. It must be tough to support conservatism, by advocating socialism.
Geez...and I saw all the McCainiacs on this forum and on television telling conservatives that McCain is the only Republican in the race who can beat Obama and Hillary...and would do so by 10 points.
Must be even tougher, going through life so simpleminded as to equate plain, unvarnished realism with Advocating Socialism. My sympathies.
As the brute realities of 11/04 inexorably tolls louder and more plainly, we’ll be steadily seeing more (and wilder) online freakouts from the Team Juan faithful, hereabouts. Wear something to cover the splashing. ;)
McCain has all the excitement of a slug. He goes out daily and talks to veterans and the people who already would follow him even if it goes against the best interest of our country. They back him as a veteran for a veteran, without paying attention to his actions since the war was over.
McCain is screwed, he needs to face the facts, if people want a liberal, they will vote for a Democrat bonafide liberal. If they are libs, they are against the war and are not inclined to vote for a warhorse liberal republican.
The conservatives, who love this country, have been kicked to the curb, while they appreciate McCains service to this country, they know he has wandered onto the liberal, socialist reservation in the past years.
His service, does not a president make. He has a record from many years in Congress that makes him a detestable candidate for the conservative voter.
Whites will not vote for this racist Marxist, no matter what the polls say.
McCain would be my last Republican choice (other than RP), but given the present circumstances at home and abroad, he may also be the last hope for the Republic.
That's just the way it is, considering the two nutcases he faces.
There'll be numerous alleged affairs, Soros-inspired "swift-boaters" from the Hanoi Hilton et al surfacing in the MSM as the campaign wears on, and that no doubt will cut into McCain's support.
But given these two dems, I'm praying/hoping/surmising McCain wins this fall.
Because I care about my kids and my country.
Exaggerated data, lazy argument

KentTrapped - thanks for livening things up - I wasn’t expecting my poll numbers to generate so much emotion - like you, I expect McCain and the GOP to be convincingly beaten in November, by Hillary or Barack - Conservatives and Evangelicals are the heart and soul of the GOP - without their energy, ideas, and money, the GOP cannot get to 50% nationally - McCain cannot win their votes with a campaign message that says, “Vote for me because the other guys are worse.”
It's all they HAVE, man. ;)
