To: Professional Engineer

Ah. That ‘splains it. I shoulda watched where they were going...

Hey...you made your son’s bed from PVC pipes, right? Did you use your own design? I’ve been trying to find a design for a computer desk and no one seems interested in making the plans.

I know what I want...I just don’t know how to put it together. Any suggestions?

I think that Home Depot has three way, or corner fittings.

This would allow a vertical to connect at right angles with a top plane. Ordinary T fittings can be used to provide intermediate horizontals.

I would use 1 1/2 or 2” schedule 40 PVC pipe. You can be creative and use steel rod for the intermediate horizontals if the all pipe design seems to heavy looking.

If you go to home depot to look, they have lots of prefinished shelving that would make a good top. Ditto bathroom cabinet tops with formica.

Just a few thoughts....

PVC pipe takes spray paint well.
