There has never been an American war without opposition. So lets recognize that there are differing and valid perspectives that make sense to many of us with different outcomes in mind.
In the last 50 years of American policy Republicans have been more associated with national defense than Democrats. They have been perceived as more attuned to protecting the nation from those who might threaten our nation.
That perception is changing. In a recent Pew research poll people stated they trusted Democrats more on Iraq than Republicans.

Sigh..Savage is correct, liberalism IS a mental disorder.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
In a perfect world, that would be the law.
And look at what CBS (et al) chooses to cover. Go to their website and check the latest headline stories - you’ll see a definite pattern of bias. Here are two of the three features that 60 Minutes will have Sunday night (disgusting):
State Of Corruption
Corruption in Iraq is so entrenched that militia groups known to target U.S. troops control some of Iraqs ministries and have used those government funds and resources to kill Americans. Steve Kroft reports. | Watch Video
SO, with millions of viewers, they’re featuring stories about a) the corruption in the new Iraq govt. (i.e., our dismal failure to make any good progress), and b) the glories of Venezuela (i.e., Hugo Chavez is okay).
How do we stand a chance with so much MSM propaganda and the vast majority of people (voters) not knowing the difference???
well.. DUH! .. It's kind of silly to fight yourself!
The ton of iron must be in Crawford’s head.
Fixed it.
Well 9-11 imagery is no longer broadcast on TV. Ergo it never happened. Who’s on celebrity donut holes tonight? gotta watch.
There has never been an American war without opposition from within, starting from the American Revolution which apparently had only about 40% support from those who lived here. The previous difference is that most Americans, whether they agreed or not with how a war started, wanted our side to win. Now we have noisy, seditious organizations who want the enemy to win.
The saving grace; no one under the age of 70 watches 6o Minutes.
The argument this fool makes is easy to deal with.
Look over the history of the past 200 years. Leaders of which political party held the Presidency when the foreign war in question started?
A President of which party had to clean up the mess to close out that war?
Yes, Iraq is an exception.
In a recent Pew research poll people stated they trusted Democrats more on Iraq than Republicans.
Yep, and that’s why McCain is going to win.
He got three sentences out before the liberal robo-script started. No record but quick on the draw nonetheless.
