High percentage of kids with immigrant parents could transform California electorate, report says

Forty-nine percent of California's children between 12 and 17 have at least one immigrant parent, a phenomenon that could dramatically change the composition of the state's electorate within several years, according to a report released Tuesday.

Of these 1.2 million kids, 84 percent are U.S. citizens, either because they were born here or were naturalized, said Rob Paral, a Chicago-based demographic researcher who prepared the report, "Integration Potential of California's Immigrants and their Children."

The report predicts that as these children turn 18, they could help fuel a rise in immigrant voters by 2012.

About 6.5 million immigrants in California are already U.S. citizens or could be, according to the report. By 2012, these adults and citizen children who have become adults could total 7.7 million "potential future voters," or 29 percent of the electorate if they register.

Paral is a research fellow at Notre Dame University's Institute for Latino Studies and at the American Immigration Law Foundation in Washington, D.C.

His firm prepared the report for Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, a national network that advises foundations and communities interested in policies to incorporate immigrants into civic life.

"It's jaw-dropping," Paral said of the number of California kids who are close to "the immigrant experience."

I agree with you.

The left has never truly been the friend of the working class or of anyone who is pro faimly.

The Hispanics are not PC. They like fast cars and big families.

Demographics rule the world and it is our job to start bringing some of the Hispanics to our side. This is the single most important thing we can do.

We do need to start with the school system that is re programing all the kids. They have started on my 6 year old this year and I’m fighting back.

One way is to form a “Union” of parents. Most parents have no idea of exactly what is being taught in school and that is a good place to start.

If we can’t control the school system will never be able to win the PR war.

We are loosing right now and we need to do new things.

This is a Forum that I started for our school. I have been forbidden by the director of using the schools email list so I will have to promote it by hand.

I have decided to pull the single school Forum format and go to a district wide format with a good conservative as a mod for each school. It will take some work but someone has to do it.

We need to start re building somewhere. In the last 8 years the left has raised a whole generation of activist ready to “save the world”. They are starting in kindergarten with “green” programs. I had a teacher tell me yesterday that being green is what good citizenship is!

My fantasy is to create a world in which liberals are forced to live under the rules they propose for everybody else. This would cure liberalism in no time.

Take CA, for example, which I happily left due to the upcoming implosion. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if those folks who voted the liberals in were required to live there for the rest of their lives? Then they could happily exist in their multi-cultural marxist utopia (read “hell hole”) along with the gang bangers, dropouts, and criminal invaders, paying an ever larger share of their dwindling incomes to the state.

The masses of Latinos might well endorse any number of social conservative views in theory — not just on limiting the expansion of gay rights, either — but none of that has the slightest traction in the Latino political establishment, which has cast its firmly with the most permissive policy options on any dimension you can name.

Well, DUH!! THAT is the reason we are so angry. We are literally turning America over to Mexico! The ONLY good news is that the fat cats like Pelosi, Feinstein, Waxman, et al, will all lose their jobs, and that's just in CA! It serves them all right.

“The southwest is being annexed by Mexico.
What do these idiots think we’ve been warning them about”

Indeed.

“Atzlan” is no longer a laughing matter or a LaRazan dream.
It is real, and it is coming.

It is demographically undeniable and essentially unstoppable.

I pose a serious question:
When California, Arizona, New Mexico - and even Texas - have “tipped to the Mexican side”, will it really, REALLY be worth having them as a part of the United States of America any longer?

My answer:
No. Let them go. Split them off.

Sorry if that offends Freepers in those states, but - you DO see what is coming down the pike, don’t you?

- John

Texas has wanted to stand alone for a long time.

If we are freed from the US then we will solve the illegal alien problem in our new country, in our own way.

Except it’s not going to stop in the southwest. It’s headed north and east.

They won’t care due to them being very rich. They will just consider it “passing the torch” to another liberal.
