Wow! Your post sure hit a nerve here on Free Republic. I’ve never seen such vitriol aimed at consevatives by other conservatives.The pending nomination of John McCain has been the most devisive and disastrous I can remember for Republicans. I expect his Presidency (if he is elected) will be the same. While he will support the war and might name good Supreme Court justices (on this issue even non-RINO Republicans have a mixed record) his/Kennedy’s fraudulent immigration bill will almost certainly assure Democratic victories in the future. We will surrender our future as Republicans to avoid surrendering on the war.
All I can hope is that McCain makes some horrible mistake (a public temper tantrum perhaps) before he is nominated and we can nominate a real conservative (Hunter comes to mind, although I am unimpressed with his cutting and running
when the going got tough in the primaries).
So all you who think McCain is just ducky and don’t seem to care about that ‘immigration thing’ can flame me now. I don’t care anymore.
LOL! Don't worry, you''l be in good company. BTW, ease up on DH. He dropped out because of lack of funding and even worse, a lack of support from the republican party he has faithfully served his entire political career. I guess they couldn't stomach his conservatism but they could go with a liberal like McCain who pisses on the republican party with regularity. That speaks volumes about the GOP.
