I live in Ohio too and we have already decided that we will not be able to retire here. With the stupid living wage law that was added to the state constitution in 2006 there is no way that most will be able to live here in a few years.

Well, a topic near and dear to my heart
They call me Bekki Buckeye, as I am an avid Ohio State Alum and Fan

However, I retired (Younger than most!) in my early 50’s and now am a resident of Arizona. We were fortunate to sell our business before the major downturns, but Ohio is the MOST unfriendly business environment. In addition, we could not afford to remain Ohio residents and retire. We have our place back there but we are only there June-October so we can go to “The Shoe” a few times each year.

Taxes are outrageous, utility costs in the upper 20% of the nation and unions have run all prosperous manufacturing concerns right out of the state....first to the “sunbelt” about 20 years ago and now overseas.

I cannot for the life of me understand WHAT ARE THEY THINKING????
