He will have to answer for Mary Jo.

The other stuff is political, just as RR signing of the 67 Abortion Bill and GWB’s signing of NCLB.

Honest comments about him won’t be said after he is gone..did you not hear all the goings on about him when the media thought it was a stroke? It was as if he was already dead..and FOXNEWS carried the most non stop yapping about it all day with no additional news to report..it was a slow news weekend, indeed.
I have no use for any of the Kennedy Clan not a one of them. But I don’t wish any ill on them either..I just wish them out of politics so they can do no more harm to this country., As for Teddy, well as others have said I hope he has a good examination of his conscince and makes peace with his God..he has some “splainin’ to do.

You are not wrong, but we all have to remember a couple of things:

1) he is just one man — worthless, yes, but just one man;

2) he has been protected by the fawning press and we'll all have to put up with the inevitable historical revisions to his life story;

3) he was elected to office — which means there are a lot of stupid people in the Commonwealth who are complicit in his evil deeds. (They'll probably reelect him after he's dead, too — idiots.).

He might not have been able to help who or what he was, but I blame his constituents for keeping him in office long after the rest of us knew what a pox on humanity he had become.

Is it OK to say you feel quite badly for Senator Kennedy and his family, but you hope a Republican replaces him in the senate? Guess I’m about to find out...

Gliomas occur more frequently with advancing age, and studies have shown that in general patients in their 70s fare less well than those 45 and younger.

Patients in their 70s fare a lot better than those 45 and younger. I would say about 30 years or so better. I would rather get one in my 70s than my 40s. If I have to.

I pray Senator Kennedy does not suffer a lingering, painful illness prior to his demise, and that he be taken swiftly to his just reward.

Members of the IRA tended to be Irish as well, newbie.
They were nothing to be proud of.

Amen.

My primary criticism of Kennedy could be applied to me, or almost anyone else: he was, at key moments, weak and selfish.

Granted, because of his privilege, many more people suffered in part due to his weakness, but the extent of the evils for which he will answer is a product more of his circumstance than any remarkable malice on his part.

Tell me where I am wrong.

You are not wrong. Except for omitting his 1965 Immigration Reform Act.

That changed our society forever for the worse.

I imagine the Lord has a collection of bills this man has signed into law over the last 40 years and will deal with him accordingly. I personally am most disgusted with what he did to W in 2002. GW definately tried to reach across the aisle to this liberal scum and all he received was a hot poker up his backside for the whole world to witness.

Archie Bunker Sr suffered the same fate as this man, but never lived the full life Ted did. I don't know what to say that won't get me banned for ten lifetimes.

"Honest comments about him won’t be said after he is gone..did you not hear all the goings on about him when the media thought it was a stroke? "

Of course you won't hear any honest comments about him from the media. They'll canonize him for sainthood. I couldn't bring myself to watch any TV news on Saturday since I knew what they would be saying. I tried to follow the comments on FR, but as soon as a thread was started, it was locked or deleted because the mods said they didn't want to babysit the comments being made. It got to be comedy theater after a while. I don't expect anything different on this site when he's gone. PC will reign.

Liberals hate conservatives

Conservatives pity liberals

As such, we believe that they are human first, and as such deserving of compassion at some level.

This could be another great “Wellstone” opportunity for the democrats, huh? I wonder if he’ll hang on long enough to see if his “boy” wins?

Wait until he dies. It’ll be 24/7 news coverage for days and days on end—all how he was a saint on earth. They’ll all forget Mary Jo Kopechne....

Mary Jo won't be forgotten..the MSM will just imply it was a blip on an otherwise outstanding record of service to this great nation..he was an icon quack quack quack...he was the youngest son of the grand Kennedy clan ( they often forget old Joe was a bootlegger..that is never mentioned unless in a documentary). There will be plenty of people who will remind the readers of papers and listeners of radio shows that Mary Jo was cheated out of at least 40 years of productive life...Her family won't for get and with some luck maybe one of them will be front and center to remind all of just what happened.

I am hoping and praying that he stays alive until after the election. If he were to die just before the election then we conservatives would have to deal with the “sympathy” vote.
