McCain, on the other hand, is in his element in unscripted townhall meetings. ... Polybius

Did you listen to the same speech I did???? .... Dick Vomer

Earth to Dick Vomer. Earth to Dick Vomer. That was NOT a townhall meeting format.

THIS is a townhall meeting format.

McCain NH Town Hall on Life

McCain does not put on a good show, like Obama does, when he reads off of a Tele-Prompter. In townhall meetings, he is pretty good.

Oh, my, gawd..... he has a nasally, whine and weird delivery when he talks... and then he did the lizard tongue lick to ward off the slobber..... jeez.... Dick Vomer

"Lincoln's voice was, when he first began speaking, shrill, squeaking, piping, unpleasant; his general look, his form, his pose, the color of his flesh, wrinkled and dry, his sensitiveness, and his momentary diffidence, everything seemed to be against him" -- William Henry Herndon, law partner and biographer of Abraham Lincoln

And your point is?

That, for somebody like you, a charismatic voice matters more than what the voice is saying?

Well, here is a charismatic man with a charismatic voice for you.

First of all, I doubt that 150-200 years from now anybody will be quoting from a speech that McCain makes.

Secondly, I know that he wasn't speaking at a town hall meeting. He was just speaking like most of the current politicians, from the text that somebody else wrote. Even some of the "ad libs" are pre-made. But his delivery will not let his "message" get across to the idiots on the democrat side that want a reason not to vote for Obamalamadingdong. THAT is my point.

Thirdly, the crack about "a charismatic voice matters more than what the voice is saying?" Not really. Winston Churchill had a slobbery voice that sometimes bordered on mumbling, but I thought his words and message was inspiring. McCain..... not so much.... Obamalamadingdong.... bubble gum for the ears.

If there are any Obama supporters, can you explain what he means by "Hard diplomacy".... as opposed to what we're doing now?

Finally, I think that McCain will probably win but only because the other choice is liberal democrat as opposed to our guy who is a moderate democrat.

Either way, we're screwed.
