Just stay safe. Do you have a basement? Go ahead and take cover now...get your safe place prepared with mattresses to put over your head in the bathtub, or elsewhere in the center of your house.

We live in Texas, so get this stuff all the time. Thankfully we have never been hit....but being prepared always helps my nerves as well.

Praying for you and all in harm’s way.

Further south, those cells along I-70 near and west of Salina, KS look huge.

I hope your daughter is safe. Do you know that at my age I have never actually seen a tornado. I’ve seen the effects but not actually seen a tornado.

They want to med-evac to Creighton University Hospitals, but there is another smaller cell of thunderstorms moving into the area now.

Think someone posted the tornado chaser site...sometimes those can be great if they have forums where all the chasers are sending info.

Here is one:

They have an excellent forum..real time. Lots of very knowledgable people.

We’re prepared. A son in law called the other morning at 12:30 to tell us a tornado was heading our way so we go to the basement to sleep. We have a bed, bath, everything so there’s no reason to not go when it’s necessary. What we do affects more than just ourselves.

My grandparents were from Souix City and I have lots of ‘extended family’ in the area. My mother and her siblings all grew up there, but they moved to NM so I’ve never been back to meet any of them.

This storm passed right over Ashland where I am. I believe two of our senior scouts from our troop were at Little Sioux. No word on their status yet.
We are watching the scene unfold right now. Doesn't look good at all. Prayers up.

At least three confirmed touchdowns in Minnesota (no injuries reported) now from the same system, now headed toward Minneapolis/St. Paul.

SOME GOOD NEWS!?!

I’m watching a live stream out of Omaha (Ch. 6 - from livenewschannels.com).

Homeland Security who is responding to this has revised the injury total - they have confirmed 4 deaths, but are now reporting only six (6) injuries. This is down from the previous report of 30-40 injured.

Still praying for all... Many tornado warnings throughout the area still...

From Greta’s blog at FOX:

That leadership camp is called Pahuk Pride and at full camp would have 96 campers between 13 and 17, mostly on the younger end. There is normally between 15-20 youth staff, and then probably about 6-7 adult staff. Last night they would have practiced emergency first aid, and tonight would just be dinner and a presentation on how to make ethical decisions.
I have attended the camp for the past 5 years, (1 as a camper and 4 as staff) but couldn’t go this year because I enroll for my college classes tomorrow.

The weather guy on Fox News said at least 30 (unconfirmed) tornadoes just from this one front. So far.
