Pelosi says House Judiciary may hold hearings on Kucinich impeachment resolution

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said this morning that the House Judiciary Committee may hold hearings on an impeachment resolution offered by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio).

Kucinich is expected to offer a "privileged resolution" this afternoon calling on the House to look at whether President Bush should be removed from office for lying to Congress and the American public when he sought congressional approval back in 2002 for taking military action to invade Iraq and overthrow Saddam Hussein.

Less than six months before the next Presidential election...and about eight months before the next inauguration, and they want to entertain impeaching the President? Surely, if there were even a remote shred of evidence they could use to bring charges against President Bush, they would’ve already done so. Congress is also on summer recess, which gives them what—about two months of being “in session” before the end of the year? What could they possibly accomplish? It would be a “Kangaroo Court” in its highest form.

Of course they’ll have hearings, right before the elections, and the MSM will cover them gavel to gavel, repeating every partisan smear as if it were fact. Can’t miss this opportunity to help Obama.

Wow she must really think a 9% approval rating is too high.

It was, after all, California’s Nancy Pelosi who had warned the nation on December 16, 1998, during Operation Desert Fox, that Saddam’s “development of WMD technology . . . is a threat to countries in the region.” During the House debate in October 2002, Pelosi sounded the same urgent theme, summing up a threat whose imminence the Democrats had been insisting upon for years. “Yes,” reiterated the tireless Pelosi, “[Saddam] has chemical weapons. He has biological weapons. He is trying to get nuclear weapons.”

Politics as usual. Congress, a Dem Congress, does not want to work ‘for the people’ when they can advance partisan ideology and vindictive against a hated foe!

These idiots must have their own hidden Life Boats. Their hate and power mongering overwhelms their own “survival instinct” and realization that we are all in the same boat and when it sinks, they will go down, too. And with their last breath they will be pointing the finger at someone else. May they go to hell.

the sad fact is that with a 9% approval rating, most of these incompetent b@stards ( democraps and rino’s ) will be overwhelmingly re-elcted....there is only one solution, FIRE THEM ALL, the short, the tall, the big and the small..

Pelosi and Kucinich aren't the problem. The problem is the lefties who vote them into office and the righties who provide lefties with social and familial support.

Diversion, revision and subversion. Typical dim tactics when things are going bad.

"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am
keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and
biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all
nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development
of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat

weapons inspection process."

I think it’s time someone asked her if she was aware of how low Congress’ approval rating is and inform her there is a reason for it. Of course as arrogant as she is I’m sure she wouldn’t care.

Here’s an archive of quotes and links to the sources of Democrats talking tough in 1998 and in 2002.

Less than six months before the next Presidential election...and about eight months before the next inauguration

How many months per year are in your calendar, Lou?

It's July 10th today, so let's count together: August, September, October, November. How many months is that? I count four. A few days less than four more months until Election Day, November 4, 2008.

Then, to Inauguration Day, we continue counting: December, January. How many months is that? Seems like it's two more months, for a total of a little more than six months until Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009.
