Never mind. Greta just confirmed he did get checked every 6 months prior to his diagnosis. I’ve never heard of that.

Interesting. My sister had breast cancer in 1997 or 1998 and she gets a mammogram once a year like all females.

I always think of Tony when I watch “Anchorman” with Will Ferrel. He played this little bit form the movie in his intro:
Veronica: “You play jazz flute?”
Ron: “I dabble.”
And later on...

I’m pretty sure that Brit said he was very thorough in getting checked...because of his Mother’s illness. And still he got this horrible disease.
God Bless his family.

In Tony’s case apparently even with the checkups the disease got him. God must have had Tony on a fixed schedule and his work here must have been done.
Still do the colonoscopy at age 40 and above. They can —if caught before it mets to other organs— usually cure it. Once it spreads to a second organ its very difficult if not impossible to cure. Usually just extending your life for some time. Tony got mets in his liver in 2007 after initially only having it in his colon in 2005.
