I'll go first... Romney... Solid support...

1. He's the most conservative person McCain would consider

2. Has deep pockets and a huge network of supporters to tap into

3. Is willing to take the fight to the sKum on the left, and isn't afraid to take H. and the Clintons head-on.

4. Is extremely articulate and a great debater...

5. Incredible financial and economic savvy... Proven success in the financial sector

6. Has the looks and gravitas needed.

Solid support for Romney for all of the reasons you have mentioned. In addition, I factor in his strong family ties and support and the way he has lived his personal life. Also he has the experience to serve this country right now, with the potential of being the Republican nominee for President after McCain. There is another huge plus for Republicans in that Mitt is free of obligations and commitments to other elected positions, i.e. governor, senate, etc. The present governors, Jindal and Palenty, are indispensable to their states which are desperately in need of the strong conservative leadership each provides. I have heard both Jindal and Palenty speak and the are great on delivery and content. They are young and the future should be bright for each of them as regards the Republican party. For now, Mitt Romney is the person we need to be Vice President.

Ann Coulter without a doubt! She’d have so much fun throwing grenades, and it would be so fun to watch....no, she’ll never take the pay cut.
OK, Fred Thompson it is. He has enough sense (and sense of humor) to know that 98% of peolple in D.C. are clowns and should be treated as such.

Solid Romney for all the reasons you listed. He’s MUCH better than McCain on the trail.

No secret that I am in total agreement with you for all the reasons listed. Romney will not make amateur mistakes. He has great organization and name recognition and is an excellent public speaker.

I like Bobby Jindal a lot also but he does not have the life experience and maturity that we get with Romney. As for the others on the list, I just don't think they have the national name recognition or organization in place to help the ticket much and because of their inexperience with being in a national campaign they could make some big mistakes.

During the primaries, Ann Coulter and Tancredo endorsed Romney. While usually endorsements do not mean much to me, I do take seriously the opinions of those two.

McCain might not be comfortable with Romney who does not share his frenzy for amnesty and CFR - McCain might want somebody more liberal.
