The poster makes a great point about all those "young" Obama fans! ------------------------------------------------------ Today, 01:31 PM Calico Silver Member = >250 Posts

Does Obama support the re-instatement of the draft?
I just took the No-Quarter survey at http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/07...ey-by-noon-et/
And, one of the questions contained this:
Quote: The Democratic Party opposes any disproportionate impact such military composition has on individuals, families, and communities based on race, economic status, economic opportunity, or educational level.
Barack Obama has inspired young people everywhere to support him. The Democratic Party believes that these young people are the key to stopping unjust and foolish wars.
Therefore, the Democratic Party supports the reinstatement of the draft as proposed by Congressman Charlie Rangel of New York. I know a lot of people that would not be in favor of this, especially "those college age young people". This could be a deal breaker for them, if he is in support of the draft reinstatement. Back in 2004, many that I know were worried with Bush getting re-elected what would happen. Some even commented that they would have to move to Canada. And, some professors that I also know, were concerned and against it.
If Obama supports the draft reinstatement, then maybe we need to get the word out.

Baraq Husayn ibn mahomet doesn’t NEED a draft.
His Obama Civilian Youth Corps, which will be trained and funded as well as the Army, has the compulsory two-year requirement of the military draft.
He’s got your youts any which way.
Does he support not registering for selective service?
And it would be truly universal. He can force all young men and women to live in mixed barracks arrangements and firmly end the last of America’s sex taboos. And that is just a tiny part of the thing.
Federal Work Brigades.
I thought he and Hillary both voted in favor of it, to include women in non-combat positions. I could be wrong.
[in UN blue uniforms, of course (his campaign color)]
