I've been telling people for weeks that the Republicans could HAMMER the Democrats with this issue (my actual words were that 'they could hammer the Democrats to DEATH with this issue' - they could win the White House, and win back BOTH houses of Congress, if they would just freakin' wake up! ;>). (BTW, can anyone name any other issue with 2/3 approval in the polls, where the opponents' position is 100% completely irrational? And yet the opponents have literally dictated current federal law? And refuse to even discuss the matter?) Talk about a diamond-studded gift on a solid gold platter! Of course, because the Republicans are renowned as 'The Stupid Party,' I figured they would catch on about the time 'alternative energy' actually becomes economically viable.
Maybe I was wrong.
If they're smart, they will maintain their presence on the House floor, for weeks, if needed. If the President wakes up, he can call Congress back for a special session - and don't make it on 'energy,' make it specifically on 'offshore drilling.' Nail their hides to the wall! HAMMER THEM! There are hundreds of millions of barrels of oil already discovered (location KNOWN: http://www.mms.gov/omm/pacific/offshore/ofrrpt.htm ) offshore California, and the Democrat party has kept every drop of it bottled up for decades! And that includes at least one "giant" oil field ( http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2047212/posts ), located only a few miles from an existing pipeline! We've got Democrat Senator Kenny Salazar from (supposedly) Colorado making statements on tape, that whether gasoline is $4 or $10 per gallon doesn't matter. HAMMER THESE JACK@SSES! Pelosi & Boxer & Salazar & the like will never back down, because they're a bunch of earth-worshipping religious fanatics - use that to the advantage of the country & the American people! The Democrats have INSISTED on adopting an extremist position - FOCUS the entire country on it! We could have a landslide in November, with the biggest coattails (at State & local levels) in US history!
Never mind. Nothing will come of it - we're with 'The Stupid Party'...
I just called my demonrat congressmoron. His aide said that instead of his doing his responsibility, he would be going on vacation. I asked her to have him send me a postcard form his trip.
How about a magnetic oil rig for the car with the words "It's our land! Drill it!"
We have a “plan?” What exactly is that plan? Has anyone from our side offered comprehensive legislation? I’m listening.

The lord high Obamessiah has called for the profits of the Oil companies to be confiscated to give to the people ... yet the Obamination devil has left out the three times as much tax these same oil companies have paid to the non-producing government collected on the sales by these companies! The glaring radicxal socialism isn’t even being disguised any longer because of the thug potential of rioting disappointed blacks who blindly demand this empty suit be elected president. Reminds me of a retarded person recruiting children to throw tantrums on the floor and hold their breath!

Thank you fight - I used the 415 # and was able to leave a message, but I emailed also. The silver lining to this is that, without meaning to, she has galvanized a lot of dispirited Republicans.
If the Dark Messiah does this, the economy will tank.
