Now, you have to admit that's one heck of a lead sentence. The "accused," however, weakens it a little. "The passenger allegedly stabbed his alleged seat mate fifty times, allegedly cut off his alleged head, and allegedly stood holding it out to other alleged passengers whilst allegedly slicing bite-sized portions of his alleged victim and allegedly gobbling them like an allegedly rabid wolverine." The reality is someone was brutally murdered in their sleep. I’ll remember threads like this when I see people decrying how violent we all are and how ‘desensitized’ we have become to irrational violence due to the violent media. “Don’t they know life is precious??!?”

Gallows humor is funny to the ‘hangee’ only when the joker is sharing his predicament, otherwise its likely to get you five across the teeth. I made the following observation...
It would be more appropriate to compare the way Al Qaeda muslims slashed the throat of Nick Berg to the way that muslims ritually slaughter animals.
But that delivers a politically incorrect message about animal abuse.
I get even MORE peeved when they say someone goes on a rampage and is shot dead at the scene and then the news reported says that the ALLEGED attacker was shot dead at the scene by authorities (or someone carrying).
I always respond “Well since it was only ALLEGED to have done this horrific act, I HOPE they got the RIGHT guy.”
There are no trials for the dead. There can be no conviction without a trial. That “alleged” attacker will never be prosecuted. But you can’t libel the dead. The editors should brass up a pair and be honest in reporting that the ATTACKER was killed dead at the scene.
In this bus attack, the motive may be unknown, but again the FACTS of the case are he was observed by the passengers killing this man. Saying that they “allege” he killed this man means it could’ve been SOMEONE ELSE on the bus who killed him; you can’t cut your own head off with a knife.
I think the 16 chinese policemen that were killed the other day were killed in western China by, I think Muslim terrorists. So if this guy is from western China........?
