The 36-year-old actress was born in Hollywood, California. Robert Applegate, her father, was a record producer and record company producer executive, and Nancy Lee Priddy, her mother, was a singer. She also had to fight both breast and cervical cancer.

Christina Applegate will always remain in the audience’s memory as Kelly Bundy in the sitcom “Married with Children.” The actress made a great film and television career until her 36 years.

Christina Applegate had major roles in several pictures, as “Farce of the Penguins,” “Anchorman,” “The sweetest thing” and is the lead character in the ABC sitcom “Samantha Who?,” Samantha Newly.

She has been diagnosed during a regular MRI and her cancer diagnosis was reported by the Hollywood gossip TV show Extra. Still, she now announces that she is free of cancer after she had followed the rigorous treatment.

“I’m clear, Good Morning America,” the actress said in an interview on Tuesday. "Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer," the “Married with Children” star announced.

The actress is now scheduled to appear in the TV-special “Stand up Cancer” which will air on ABC, CBS and NBC beginning September 5. The goal of the show will be to raise money for cancer research.

Perhaps this is an indication that certain ‘things’ should be kept under wraps and not flaunted?

I understand the reconstructions are quite good. This had to be tough to face but better than the alternative.

She’s a beautiful woman no matter what.

I thought she had passed as well although I wasn’t sure if the writer was referring to Christina or her mother. Yes, I agree it looked like a pre-obit. The article is very poorly written.

My Grandmother had a mastectomy last year...she was 84 years old at the time. Are you suggesting that my Grandmother also should have kept “things” under wraps? Your statement is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve read in a long time.

...and then there’s the line “The actress made a great film and television career until her 36 years.” Definitely passing through an online translation engine.

I have had two friends die of breast cancer, one of them very young. Neither one exposed her certain “things”.

She’s a very decent comedienne. I’m more likely to watch a movie if she’s in it.

Yep, she had a double mastectomy. Apparently it was the only logical decision. Pretty tough...I wish her well.

Absolutely. I was a big fan of Married With Children. Hopefully she'll recover and do well. And hopefully there will be some effective cure for all forms of cancer in the not too distant future.

My wife died of breast cancer at 28. I firmly believe some decisions she made contributed to her disease.

This story appears to have been written by a retarded person.

Or translated by Babelfish.

I am sorry for your loss.

If I may ask, what decisions are you referring to?

EPU, thanks for your sympathetic words of comfort - always appreciated.

Re: her decisions, it's so personal I just cannot speak about it. However, I would strongly urge that a Christian lifstyle would never hurt.
