Celebs did some serious political partying last night at the Black & White Gala for Barack Obama.

Although the presidential nominee wasn't in attendance, plenty of stars were there to show their support, like Lucy Liu and Nia Long.

VIP tickets to the fancy fete were $2,300 a person, which included munchies like crudités, olives and eggplant and musical stylings from a seven-person gospel choir.

So who else hit the bash for Barack, held at a private estate in Bel-Air?

Find out in our Party Pics: Hollywood gallery!

Gee is it really news that the Hollywood idiots are for Obama?

Has Rosie O’Donnell endorsed a candidate yet? I’m eager to hear her endorsement.

Whatever happened to Rosie O’Donnell? She was all in our face about gay issues and Sept. 11th conspiracies and the incompetence of Bush. Where did she go? Is she coming back to enlighten us about the real truth of the issues of the day?

Grr...one of the attendees was Chloe from 24. She has constantly said that she is apolitical and couldn't give a rats arse about politics. Wonder why she'd attend such an event then.

Lucy. Move into a one bedroom apartment. Sell your car and take a bus. Eat Rice-a-Roni instead of eating expensive meals and drinking Dom Perignon. Then donate all that unspent money on Democratic social programs.

I said the same thing to some really wealthy folks who are Democrats. Their rebuttle to me was ok but you buy the bullets and armory needed for war with your own money and don’t make us pay....I was like crap!!! lol.

Kathy Griffin is hoping Hillary Clinton will be Barack's VP, but if that doesn't happen, she's got a backup. “If not, I’m going to go with one of the Lohans,” she said. “I think Ali has a bright new future. But maybe Cody could really get the job done.”

This is a worse walk-on appearance than Battle of the Network Stars or The Love Boat.

And if you read the quote, she's not voting for Obama. The Lohans may get her vote...

Celebrity types don’t tend to be the sharpest tools in the shed.

They are attracted to shiny things and when confronted with one they will stare and stare in wonder.

This is good. I hope the media keep reporting the celebrities that are out for BHO. The more we see them, the more the convention to look like Oscar or Grammy night, which simply reinforce McCain’s point that he’s no more than a celebrity. I’m sure Obama will start his speech with, “I’d like to thank my family and the academy... I hope my nomination opens the door for Black politians out there...”

Time was private charities (whether they were churches or independently organized benevolent orders) offered social assistance programs (including orphans' homes).

If the Left would spend their BILLIONS (Gates, Soros, et al) on HELP rather than lobbying government how to spend MY money, they could make a difference and leave government to GOVERN.

As to why should they pay for bullets if they disagree with the conflict? Providing for the Common defense is in the Constitution. Providing for the welfare state is not.

from NYPost:
“Trojan condoms is co-hosting Monday night’s Rolling Stone VIP show at the Dem convention. Bill Maher, emceeing this ob viously super high-toned event: “I never do corporate affairs. Although they offer me big money, I always turn them down because they insist I work clean so they won’t be embarrassed sitting amongst their bosses or clients or whoevers. But this time my agent said to me, ‘Don’t be silly. It’s Trojans. They want you to be as dirty as possible.’ “ Added Bill happily: “Isn’t that great?” My information is he’s a major user of the product.”

I don’t get it. For bullets, etc, WE ARE paying for it in our taxes. Nobody wants to go to war.
