FactCheck isn’t reliable and they aren’t non-partisan. They are run by the Annenburg foundation. Almost everyone who works there are Obama supporters or fundraisers. That whole site has become an advertisement for Obama.

I heard Philip Berg on the radio this PM. He told three lies right off the bat and then starts his case on Obama’s birth certificate.

They say Berg is respected in the legal field. He certainly didn't sound like he deserves any respect.

Is he a 'natural born citizen'? I don't know, and neither do you! The constitutional term 'natural born citizen' has never been clearly defined. Laws have been passed since 1790 in a attempt to clarify the rules of citizenship. Laws that overlap, contradict and are or aren't retroactive. The Supreme court has not ruled on whether natural born follows jus soli - birth on US territory, or jus sanguinus - birth to US blood. Until that point is defined neither of us has so much as a narrow reed to cling to.

The thing is there is a big difference between being born to parents who are BOTH U.S. Citizens and are out of the country due to being stationed somewhere (as in McCain’s case), and people who are born to a parent who is NOT a citizen (at least back then...).

I really don’t know what to think about the whole Birth Cert. issue, really. I can’t imagine how he could’ve gotten this far if his papers weren’t in order. Isn’t there ANY oversight on these issues from the Gov’t? If not, there should be, IMHO.

We should not be taking the word of blogs, and clearly biased organizations who claim they have “touched” the Certificate. Why is there not a more reputable organization coming out and saying there is nothing to this? At the least I would think Obama would make an attempt to let SOMEONE in the MSM have a peek at the document. It all sounds fishy to me, personally.
