McCain knows about task saturation and channelized attention.

It never occurred to me that fighter-pilot skills might come in handy in directing a presidential campaign. But it seems to be serving McCain quite well. Could it be that it will serve a sitting president even better?

BIDEN: “I think that the only reason Clarence Thomas is on the Court is because he is black. I don’t believe he could have won had he been white. And the reason is, I think it was a cynical ploy by President Bush.”

We know he has dealt successfully enough with some serious situations to still be alive. It’s like the saying about airline pilots: “they get paid really well because of what they do during 45 seconds a year.” BTW I like what the designer of the A4 used to say: “Simplicate. And add lightness.”

“Simplicate. And add lightness.”

Oh, that's great. I will remember that throughout this campaign.

Guess that puts a lie to the flag-burning bedwetters’ accusations that Sarah Barracuda was a desperation last minute pick.

Sarah Barracuda is more qualified than the other three candidates to be President. She has more executive experience than the other three combined, what with being Mayor and Governor.

Contrary to what some of the talking heads saying that McCain picking Palin has dampened his attack on Obama’s lack of experience, I think it enhances it! I mean side by side you show Palins lifetime accomplishments in every role she has been in vs Obamas lack of any achievements in every role and it's a slam dunk. Where Palin has served the people, Obama has served himself, just used the job as a stepping stone while not performing the job he was elected to do.

Anyone else catch the guy on Brit Hume the other night trying to say that Obama’s running for president for the last two years is experience for being president. I just think it's just another 2 years in is elected career where he hasn't been doing the job he was elected to do in the first place. In the same period, Sarah Palin has been doing one hell of a job!

I keep waiting for someone to make the point that if Biden is so ready to be Prez, how come the vast majority of DEMS have said no way in his two presidential bids?

This is a great read. It sounds like McCain is taking this very seriously. He even listened to us about following his conservative base.

Has anyone figured out what BO’s selection process was? I haven’t heard anything about it yet.

They flipped a coin and it was a Delaware quarter, so they’re stuck with him.

if the rest or other crucial parts of the US people will share your views and she can win the debate against the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations than we will see the positive outcome.

I read the executive experience argument here often an it is understandable given the fact where we post but deep in our hearts everybody knows that this is according to the new job at least weak.

We have this wonderful football player in my former small hometown and mainly because of him we were able to win three championships in a row and we play now in the 6th german league but i still do not want him to represent my country at the world cup and would prefer a young talent of bayern Munich that only has 10 matches but at least sometimes plays champions league.

McCain wouldn’t have selected her if she didn’t have a good knowledge of current affairs plus being in sync with McCain’s stance on the war. Even with all her plusses I doubt he would have chosen her if she was ignorant about vital national and international issues.

I hope BO is stuck.

I fear a Biden withdrawal (family with legal problems) and Hillary stepping in to save the day.

Still think McCain would win in those circumstances, but it would be harder.

Could it be that McCain will be a great president after all?

I sure hope so, not only for the good of the country the years he is President, but also it will make it more likely we'll have a President Palin after he leaves office.
