(CBS) Speaking on Face The Nation Sunday, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani said that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was announced Friday as presumptive GOP nominee John McCains running mate, is more qualified to be president than Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
You know why? She had to make decisions, Giuliani told Face The Nation anchor Bob Schieffer. All Senator Obama has had to do is talk. That's all he does.
Palin, who is 44 years old, has been the governor of Alaska for less than two years. Previously, she served two terms as mayor of the town of Wasilla, Alaska, whose population in 2000 was 5,470.
Citing her executive experience, the Republican National Convention keynote speaker called Palin somebody of accomplishment because she's vetoed legislation, she's taken on corruption, and in her party, and won. She took on the oil companies and won. She administered a budget successfully.
He also said Obama is the least experienced candidate for president in the last 100 years.

Guess I'm not the only one who's thinking more along Presidential lines!!!
I think America’s Mayor would take umbrage at the Dems casting aspersions on Palin because she was merely a mayor for several years.
Harrumph. Her time as small-town mayor is more executive experience than Obama has ever done.
Governor experience amplifies the point. She’s done budgets and run things. Obama gives speeches - Sheesh.
“Sarah Palin, who was announced Friday as presumptive GOP nominee John McCains running mate, is more qualified to be president than Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.”
YUP. Drive it home. She’s had executive experience. He’s had none.
McCain/Palin 08
Palin/Jindhal 2016
Anyway, I need some help. I'm working on a one-page handout comparing Obama’s and Palin’s experience that I can hand out to people. I know there's one that's going around the internet, but I want something that just shows experience/accomplishments that I can print on one page:
http://www.audacityofhypocrisy.com/2008/08/30/sarah-palin-vs-barack-obama/#comments
I put something together from this YouTube, but need to refine it.

Turns out I can't copy the table here (it just gets all mixed up) so if some you savvier folks can help me put together a simple side-by-side comparison of accomplishments from this video and other info, I would really appreciate it.
And then Schaeffer turns from Rudy to Joe Lieberman and Joe agrees with Rudy!
That's called "sinking the ship."
So true and I believe everything Rudy said and will until I see obamawama walk on water like his followers think he can.
Hey obamawama show up or get out of the way.
No question the left and the media are going to be apoplectic over this and will doeverything to undercut her. McCain’s problem isn’t with the media or with the left, it is with the conservative base and Palin has been like a shot of adrenaline. I was one of those conservatives and while I would have voted for McCain only to vote against Obama, now I am a fired up and a ready to fight Republican.
Let’s not forget, the media and the left tried everything to hurt Reagan and he won both times by landslides.
Already angling for that Homeland Security position, huh Rudy?
Wow. The difference between Governor Palin and Senator “The One” Obama is quite stark. You have quite a list. Don’t know if it can be condensed to a one-page document unless you shrink the font or maybe .pdf it. Hmm. A project. Let me get back with you on this!
Everything else on his resume is either puffery or actually did harm.
“She had to make decisions, Giuliani told Face The Nation anchor Bob Schieffer. All Senator Obama has had to do is talk. That’s all he does.
Answer that Senator Obama, if you can!
Huh? Nothing? Thought so.

Uhhh ... uuuh ... uuuhh ...
I certainly hope Rudy ends up some place in this mix with McCain/Palin when they take office. What an asset Rudy is.

Homeland security was mentioned as a super post for Rudy on another thread.
Thanks! There is a lot on that list, but I’d like to make a list of JUST ACCOMPLISHMENTS since college for both of them.
Isn’t it absolutely crazy that everyone is now comparing Obama to Palin - as if she is the one running for the top of the ticket?!
Well, if the Dems want to talk about experience, or lack of it, I say — Bring it on!!!
P.S. I already have a short list started in Table Form, but don’t know how to post it. If you give me a privat reply and give me your e-mail address, I can attach it as a document and you can help me refine the list I’ve already started. Thanks!
Rudy finally gets one right!
” If Obama had Palin’s resume and experience Obama would be qualified to be VP too.”
Great tag line. How true!
Press secretary.....he'd eat the Washington press corps alive. When he first took office in NYC he was appaled that reporters would be wandering all over City Hall....in and out of almost any office they wished. He threw them ALL out and man, did they howl. He was ALWAYS quick on his feet at press conferences with a rapier tongue.
Lombardi NEVER said:
“Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.”
He said:
“Winning isn’t everything -but wanting to win is.”
The former implies anything is acceptable including cheating, unsportsmanlike conduct, etc. just to win a game - or whatever. This is liberals’ and the democrat party’s philosophy and was never the great Vince Lombardi’s.
I am always extremely annoyed when someone besmirches Lombardi’s legacy with this false and malicious quote created by the media.
I’ll even give you a start on where to verify: http://www.enotalone.com/article/11027.html
