My first reaction was shock. Then anger. John McCain chose a running mate simply because she is a woman and one who appealed to the Republican's conservative evangelical base. Now, with news that Palin's 17-year-old unmarried daughter is pregnant, McCain's pick may not even find support among "family values" voters...This may be a hard one for the Republican conservative family-values crowd to swallow. Of course, this can happen in any family. But it must certainly raise the question among the evangelical base about whether Sarah Palin has been enough of a hands-on mother.

Of course. Why didn't they choose one of the more qualified women?
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
agreed
She has done nothing wrong and has proved that she deals with issues like any other average American
I just hope that people sit there while watching the foolish channel CNN and they see the headline that keeps saying Palins teenage daughter pregnant
I hope they sit there and say er what er don’t get it, what news is this, has any laws been broken , this is just stupid
Keep these stories coming RATS !!! The base is starting to come together and this will do nothing but help .
Thank you !!!
HUckabee is a hypocrite.
There is no telling how many Sally has slept with.
Reagan was an optimist. Learn it. Live it. Love it.
Quinn is pissed because McCain’s choice is a traitor to feminists... a strong, pro-life governor. Had Mac picked a pro-choice women, Quinn would be singing her praises. The hypocrisy of the left, especially some of the feminist left, is becoming so thick that we’ll all need hip waders to get through it soon.
Um, are you listening to yourself? Because nothing could prepare you for that.
Can you say.. Grasping at straws!
My thoughts exactly. I wasn’t sure I was going to vote for McCain unless his VP choice was solid. I am satisfied with his choice of Gov. Palin. This phony controversy does not change my opinion. I feel sorry for the girl being drug through the mud. Libs have no shame.
Didn’t Sally Quinn (in younger days) break up her present husband’s family - and get him to divorce his wife in order to marry her? So what is worse, being a home wrecker, and causing a family extreme pain, or Ms. Palin’s getting pregnant before she married the father?
Sally Quinn is a low life, selfish hypocrite who doesn’t give a damn about the pain she causes others.
“I believe Sally Quinn has one child, who is handicapped.”
That poor child! Imagine being raised by Sally Quinn - handicapped doesn’t begin to describe that poor child’s situation.
Oh, but you're wrong. Didn't you know - Sally Quinn has suddenly become the EXPERT on religion!
How do I know this? I heard her on the Imus radio show a few weeks ago, trying desperately to cover for Obama's old rev - Jeremiah Wright. (We benighted white folks "just don't understand" Wright.)
Sally Quinn, you see, a "former" atheist who by her own description never bothered thinking about religious affairs in the past (she thought religion was just for yahoos), has taken up a new hobby!
She has joined with that other esteemed "expert" on religion, journalist Jon Meacham of Newsweek, to instruct us typical white folk about real religion. Now she is far more qualified than you or I to dispense pearls of wisdom. /s
Cleft palate, according to a post up the thread. I assume they had the surgery to repair the problem.
The idiots at the Washington Post gave Sally a column in the religious section and she is an admitted atheist.
My question 2 you is: Do you take offense to his (Mike Huckabee’s) trashing Mormons (cause that was classless), or Do you take offense to him trashing Romney??
Cause I trash Romney, not because of his religion (though I dissagree w/it), but because he is a liberal (in Republican clothing..)?!
Absolutely, I support Palin. She has given me reason to work for and to vote for a ticket. I haven’t had that feeling in 30 years.
That said, I was responding to an off topic comment about the health of the “Biden/Obama Ticket”.
