JUNEAU -- Gov. Sarah Palin's son, Track, left on Tuesday for infantry boot camp in Fort Benning, Ga. The 18-year-old enlisted last week on the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Track is the oldest of Palin's four children and her only son. "I support my son's independence, and I am proud of his decision because he made it for the right reasons -- to serve his country," Palin said. In July, Palin went to Kuwait where she visited the Alaska Army National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 297th Infantry, a unit that is made up of about 575 Alaska men and women.

Hearded it hear first.
what it means is that she’s not just a chicken hawk. She’s invested in this campaign and won’t think of our troops as expendable assets
This was Sept. ‘07. He will be shipping out on Sept. 11 for Iraq.
He’ll probably be relieved to be facing a less hostile enemy than the press.
Hearded a bunch of squirrels?
To Track, we are proud of you. From one Vet to a new one, I send with you many prayers.
prayers up for Track...stay safe but shoot straight
No. Hurded a bunch of skwirrels.
That sounds skwirrley.
Anyone that listens to John Kerry knows that you gotta really screw up to have to join the Army.
that poor boy is going to MELT down there in georgia.
Good point and true. My basic training “battle buddy” was actually from Alaska and he suffered more than any of us down at Benning. A native Alaskan died a few months before that in his fox hole from water dehydration. Track has already survived Georgia. he has to endure Iraqi heat now.
correction: water toxicity, not water dehydration.
OK, you've described a population of roughly 21,597 moonbats, what's your point...?
;^)
I’m sure King, Blitzer, and Olbermann will give this full coverage.
ding ding ding ding. we have a winner. No, I’m quite sure the MSM would much rather talk about her daughter than her son. You know no Democrats want to here about Track’s pending deployment. I think we need to talk more about it personally.
Prayers for a safe return of Track and all the Men he serves with.
Sarah has five children, two of which are boys.
The chickenhawk point is worth a many-month ping because there are SO MANY LOUSY EXAMPLES in both parties of this ‘type’ that when you get a good example of what should be done, it’s really refreshing. Congratulatoins Mr. & Mrs. Palin.
