Schmidt’s been kicking ass and taking names for weeks now. That giant smudge on the campaign media was named Gustav.

Gustav is gone, now the Schmidt-storm can resume.

Actually he does, when he was Editor in Chief of the Harvard Law Review.

The executive experience argument is not even plausible. Let's look at reality. If someone ran a lemonade stand they have “Executive experience.” Palin’s scant experience as Governor of Alaska is light years from the rigors and demands of the Presidency. If you hold the nonsensical notion that only executive experience of limited nature is what counts and triumphs over Senate experience (read real experience), then you would have dismissed Lincoln, Kennedy and Nixon as being “unqualified.” Any high office experience counts. And, Palin’s is very limited by any reasonable measure.

Obama does not have the experience to be President, but to say that Palin does, or has more than Obama is patently absurd.

I am 100% ready to have Sarah Palin be my president starting today; if so, I'd feel we got exactly what we need in a leader. On the other hand, if baraq were my president today, I'd feel we got exactly what we deserve.

That game Schmidt was playing is way over. Last Friday a new game started.

He's got 2 hours to prove he can play. IMO the next two hours determine the winner of the the election. Things are moving that fast.

“I love it when the truth is also devastatingly effective!”

The Empty-Suit, Media-created Celebrity Obama is terrified of the Well-suited Celebrity Palin can become.

Today’s MSM is terribly fickle in thier adorations, and I believe even his CAMPAIGN knows she’s better qualified foir the job than he is. And she fills out the suit better!!

He does not have enough to be President. But, he has served in the Senate for 3 1/2 years. Before that he was in the state Senate in Illinois for eight years.

He was Editor in Chief of Harvard Law Review, a very prestigious position and I understand was elected by his peers. He has taught Constitutional law at the University of Chicago, very desirable knowledge for a President to have. Is it enough? No. But it exceeds Palin by any reasonable measure.

That’s a bit too melodramatic for my tastes, veering towards drama queen territory.

President Lincoln served one term (two years) in the United States House of Representatives. He was never elected to the U.S. Senate, Mr. Douglas was. Therefore, Governor Palin has more elective office AND executive experience than Lincoln did in 1860, and she is NOT running for the top spot. Neither Kennedy or Nixon had any real executive experience prior to being elected president or (in Nixon’s case) vice president, unless you’re counting the crew of PT109.

ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDING ME?

No, it does NOT.

Obama has NEVER convened the Committee he’s supposed to head. In Illinois, he dodged EVERY controversial issue with a “Present” vote. And HE takes credit for things he was barely allowed to be listed as a sponsor on!!

Not no merit, just popularity. He wrote one note. No articles, just one note.

In all of that, still, NO executive experience.

Comment:

Then you agree with the AP story in this mornings Union Tribune that says while Palin was in her Senior year of college that Obama was directing a community church group thereby giving Obama more direct managerial experience.

It is all in what a person equates to real management experience.

So I taught Sunday school for senior boys down at the Baptist church and that makes me equal to my neighbor who has a Masters in Education Multiple Subjects.

However, I don't really give a Gnats butt who has the most longevity.

Obama has no business being the president of the United States.

Obama in my lowly red state opinion is nothing more than inexperienced idealistic ninny foisted on America by many whose agenda it is to destroy our American traditions.

I would disagree with the term "absurd" and suggest that the perfect word is "obvious". Whether or not you agree with Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, or Wilson on politics, you have to admit that they were as ready for the job as any presidents in our history.

Four presidents generally ranked in the top fifteen by historians have had experience comparable to Governor Palin’s prior to assuming office: Franklin Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Grover Cleveland.

Sarah Palin spent four years as a City Council Member for Wasilla, Alaska, six years as Mayor of Wasilla, and two years as Governor of Alaska.

FDR spent just over two years in the New York State Senate, eight years as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and four years as Governor of New York.

Theodore Roosevelt three years in the New York State Assembly, two years as Governor of New York, one year as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and less than one year as Vice President of the United States.

Woodrow Wilson spent eight years as President of Princeton University and two years as Governor of New Jersey.

Grover Cleveland spent two years as Sheriff of Erie County, two years as Mayor of Buffalo, and two years as Governor of New York.

Overall, I’d say that Palin’s background is comparable with that of several presidents considered highly successful, even considering that her state has a smaller population than the other two states on the list.

While Obama has been running for office for as long as Palin has been running a state, I find it hard to consider the two tasks as comparable preparation.

The executive experience argument is not even plausible.

You can't be serious.

If you hold the nonsensical notion that only executive experience of limited nature is what counts...

Only? I didn't say only. You did.

That strawman won't hunt.

Senator Obama never published article one while editor, which is unheard of, as I understand it. Both his state senate and lecturer position were part-time. He hasn't spent much time doing the job the people of Illinois sent him to D.C. to do, and has never held a committee meeting, so far as I know. What office will he run for next if elected president? General Secretary of the United Nations? World Emperor?

Being a governor is executive experience.

Being a junior Senator is not.

Palin has much more experience than Obama at running a government, and she did a more effective job crafting and passing legislation - as a non-legislator - in Alaska than Obama ever did in the Illinois statehouse or the US Senate.

She knows how to do Obama's nominal job - legislating - better than he does, plus she is an effective executive.

Almost all of Obama’s time as Senator has been in running for the Presidency.

That’s experience????
