Speakers: Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota; Sen. Mel Martinez of Florida; former Sen. Bill Frist of Tennessee; retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Carol Mutter.

Boring! It'll be hard to stay awake through these...will have to watch the game or something just to still be awake for Cindy and John.

“I can’t wait to see Cindy McCain! I have a feeling she will be very impressive!”

She’s classy....reminds me of Laura.

Palin was awesome last night. Biden just realized he's up against a tough woman. Biden of course says she's just talk and no substance, but she really has both substance and style. I can't wait to see her debate Biden.

“When we debate — and, boy, she's going to be a tough debater, she's going to be a skillful debater — I'm going to try to talk about the differences of our worldview here and what we're going to do for the country,” he said.

“If it's going to get down to who can deliver the toughest lines, then she's going to win the debate,” Biden added. “But I'm not going there.”

NFL Football is on tonight and IMHO it was more important to have the lineup last night they had before Gov Palin spoke. At 9:00 cdt, the networks went to the speeches so Rudy and Gov Palin’s went out all over the Country. Two red meat speeches.

Tonight the networks won’t pick up coverage until after the football game and then only for Sen McCain’s speech.

"....but I'm not going there."

Hey Joe, a little early in the game to be chickening out, eh what?

Oh, boy, the Veep debate will be a slaughter.

Dorothy will reduce the he-witch to a big puddle of fetid, steaming goo on the floor of the stage.

The lib media interrogators will fall face-down on their table in a complete swoon.

MSNBC Kim Gandy, NOW President

Gandy “tax cuts for 85% of working families”

Obama “tax cuts for 95% of working families

Bill Clinton “middle income tax cut”

.
at least 2 of the three are wrong, and Obama’s tax cuts are said only to be tax credits, can he show any real reduction in tax rates? If not, all 3 are wrong, and liars
.

Evening! I’m not expecting to make it to McCain’s speech tonight. Three late nights in a row and I’ll be toast.

If McCain wants to make a bigger impression than Palin all he needs to do is open his speech annoucing a real and sincere ‘Manhattan Project’ style program to enforce the borders, secure it, and everything that goes with that.

‘Trust But Verify’ He can use the Minutemen and other pro-border enforcement organizations to verify that the border is secure. Not the governors!

Are they claiming that Obama was involved in a 95% tax cut in IL? Or that’s his plan once he’s in office??

Good thing Obama wasn’t a Republican because he can’t speak without a teleprompter, and the RNC can’t run a teleprompter

Tax credits. I’m unmarried, have no children, no disabilities, nothing. I don’t get any credits. I gotta pony up whatever they want to take from my puny paycheck.

For two people who usually speak only gobbledygook, Mara Liasson and Mort Kondrake had good advice for John McCain’s speech tonight.

Mara said McCain has to look forward, there are no gold watches for past performance for a Presidential candidate. She’s absolutely right.

Kondrake said he has to talk in some ways that connect to the ordinary person about how we would implement his economic plan, not just vague generalities. I think he’s also right.
