While the majority of Thursday’s CBS Early Show coverage of Sarah Palin’s convention speech was positive, at the top of the 8am hour, co-host Maggie Rodriguez talked to Palin’s sister, Heather Bruce, and asked: "There's been a lot of talk this weekend about family, talk that family is off limits in a campaign. Yet we see your sister with her kids, introducing them, showing them on camera, and she even mentioned you in her speech last night. So the question is, is it okay to use family in a campaign when it benefits the candidate and not okay when it's negative?"

I might be wrong but I saw Michelle and Obama’s kids at the convention in Denver. I guess that goes for them also.
What? Because she had them on stage with her at her nomination? That is a stretch even for the Media.

I have no desire to knock the Obamas’ little kids. I’m just not a rabid liberal journalist.
So by that logic the Obama kids are also fair game since they were onstage during the DNC and appeared in print and on air pieces.

The MSM better be careful about criticizing Palin’s family from here on in because it will backfire badly. The media have been pimping for Obama too long and there is no way that Obama can distance himself at this point.
By the way, O’Reilly turned his radio show over to Michael Smereconish and Ellis Henicken, today. They are doing a total hit job on Palin and McCain. Don’t watch FOX tonight. Watch the speech on C-Span.
CBS is lower than whale poop and keeps digging every day. I am not surprised that journalism is not their forte. They are a campaign arm of the DNC, masters at personal destruction and strives to out liberal the other alphabet networks at each broadcast. I say, “keep talking”.
