In Judging Obama, Question His Judgment
Fox News ^ | September 08, 2008 | John R. Lott, Jr.

“Judgment” has become the byword of the election. Barack Obama has always wanted the election to be about the importance of “good judgment,” not experience. While Obama claimed last week that he had more executive experience than Sarah Palin, he has generally stuck to this theme.

During the primaries, Obama’s claim to “good judgment” largely focused on his early opposition to the Iraq war. But, with the exception of picking Joe Biden as his running mate, virtually all the discussion of Obama’s good judgment still rests on his opposition to the war.

Obama still has some work to convince people that he possesses good judgment. A new poll released last week by the Pew Research Center found that Americans by 51 to 36 percent trust John McCain’s “good judgment in crisis” over Obama’s.

But what does it mean to say that Obama has “good judgment”? Does he make the right policy decisions? The presidency is extremely powerful. Can Obama be trusted to restrain his use of that power? Can he judge people and figure out the right people to staff his administration?

1) The Right Decision?

Given the emphasis on opposing the war, Obama clearly believes that the ultimate test is whether decisions stand the test of time. So does Obama stick with his decisions in other areas? . . .

If W had not prosecuted the war, Iraq would now be a simmering cauldren of terror, creating alliances with God knows who, and agitating the entire middle east.

W had the vision to see that. Obama doesn’t have the “vision thing”.

And the main issue the non-moonbat crowd had with the Iraq War was its execution, not the decision to invade.

Obama didn’t make some kind of heroic decision to oppose the war. In his crazy far left neighborhood in which someone like William Ayers is viewed as Ned Flanders, an anti-war viewpoint was the mainstream view.

Obama was a great candidate for the Democrat primaries, but a sucky one for the general. Biden, HRC, et al said that and then some during the primaries. There’s a lot of ‘I told you sos’ going around among Dems these days...

Obama’s judgment should be what is targeted. Not his name or background or any of that nonsense, but simply put his judgment. As short as his political career has been, he has shown some remarkably horrendous judgment. This is where the difference between McCain and Obama is clear. Obama has no proper judgment, he is naive beyond belief and his lack of personal conviction(flip-flop) anyone and doing what is politically rewarding and not what he feels to be correct, is going to be his undoing.

Ayers? Reverand Wright? Rezko? Kwame Kilpatrick?

Where is this man’s judgment indeed?

In terms of judgement, he is another Jimmy Carter. But worse that that, he is some other nation’s Jimmy Carter.

Question not just his Judgement but also his Loyalty.

...”And the main issue the non-moonbat crowd had with the Iraq War was its execution, not the decision to invade.”...

I disagree a bit. I think the main issue was that it was a GOP President - GWB - sucessfully conducting a war rather than a democrat party POTUS. If it was Bill Clinton, imagine the cheerleading from the democrats/msm, academia (”Clinton’s Strategic Thinking” would be expounded upon ad nauseum by empty-headed, pencil-neck leftist professors and think-tank twits), and hollywood nimrods who would already have crafted 17 feature films on Clinton’s brilliance.

The hypocrisy exhibited by all the shameful parties to this deception is stunningly evident, except to democrats.

When his own VP choice questions whether he should have been tapped, how much worse judgment can you get?

snObama is going to be a parody of horrible Pres picks by the end of October.
