Jane Swift went quickly to work this evening as a leader of a brand new "truth squad" defending GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, excoriating Barack Obama for a comment he made while campaigning in Virginia today.
Obama told voters that they shouldn't believe McCain and Palin's talk about reforming Washington. "You can put lipstick on a pig," Obama said. "It's still a pig."
Republicans took offense, saying that was a personal attack on Palin, who during the GOP convention speech last week, asked delegates if they knew the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull. Pointing to her mouth, she exclaimed, "Lipstick."
Swift told reporters on a conference call that Obama's comment was "disgraceful" and that "he owes Governor Palin an apology."
Challenged about how she could be sure that Obama was referring to Palin, Swift replied, "She's the only one of the four presidential or vice presidential candidates who wears lipstick."

She’s hot as a pistol.
Remember when Obama dissed Hillary by making a finger while he was talking about her and then pretending to brush dust off both his shoulders.
He has gutter-mouth and should be expose as such. He talks just like DUers.
There could well we backlash from women about this.

Now we wait for the hole to be dug deeper when Obama offers his explanation.
The insult is especially stinging because calling someone a pig is the worst insult a Muslim can think of.
Now if Obama had picked Edwards there would have been two.

This is much worse for Obama.
The biggest line from her acceptance speech was the hockey mom/pitbull/lipstick bit.
So any mention of lipstick immediately brings a connection to that line.
Obama didn't just shoot himself in the foot.
He shot off his mouth and it took off his head.
He won't recover from this.
