Are You Too Dumb to Understand Evolution?
CreationEvolutionHeadlines ^ | September 10, 2008

Sept 10, 2008 — Astrobiologist David Deamer believes that life can spontaneously emerge without design, but he thinks lay people are too uneducated to understand how this is possible, so he gives them the watered-down version of Darwin’s natural selection instead, which he knows is inadequate to explain the complexity of life. That’s what he seemed to be telling reporter Susan Mazur in an interview for the Scoop (New Zealand). Is the lay public really too dense for the deeper knowledge of how evolution works?...

As the Scripture says . . . the fool has said in his heart, ‘there is no God.’

Then he goes out and trumps up fantasies more fantastical, requiring far more FAITH . . . and FAITH built on NOTHING . . . than

FAITH built on God and His record.

Most of my Science professors I had no earthly idea about their politics or religion, it honestly NEVER came up in class. Scientists discuss science mostly. Of the professors that it did come up they were... an anti-Communist pro-Reagan Eastern Orthodox, a liberal agnostic Jew, a moderate/liberal Catholic, and a conservative Catholic. But you couldn't tell ANY of that from their teaching styles (except the anti-Communist, and it was part of who he was, having survived the Lysenko purges of scientists in the USSR).

A modern college class, especially in anything hard, is made up of many foreign students of unknown political or religious persuasion. Conservative professors in those fields think Conservatism sells itself (usually as soon as you see how much they take out of your paycheck and you hear what they waste it on) and know that Science class is a bad place for proselytizing. And Liberal professors are DEATLY afraid of singing the praises of Communism to someone who LIVED through it; so mostly politics or religion NEVER comes up.

Climate change is good Science and has shown us that the climate in the past has been both significantly hotter and significantly colder (Scientific confirmation of the Medieval warm period, several ice ages). Anthropogenic global warming is a load of crap. Scientists have spoken up but climate science has never been on the same footing because it is impossible to conduct actual Science on the climate; it is all based upon models and data collection. And the data collection doesn't even agree because atmospheric readings show slight cooling and ground based reading show heating.

There are plenty of schools where one can receive a good education or a great education. Avoid Sociology (Socialism), Women's Studies (Socialism), Anthropology (Socialism), Psychology (Socialism for the mentally disturbed), Political Science-ish (Communism), and unfortunately English Class (Socialist queer indoctrination).

History, Math, Science, and Engineering are still pretty good to very good, and they are the only things really worth learning anyway (what? you can't teach YOURSELF English?).

But there are two big problems:

1. Junk science. The science community is hungry for government money. They need the democrat party to get grants [conservatives are more stingy]. That’s why science was so slow to turn against the global warming scam. Their reluctance to say the truth is now hurting their credibility.

2. Scientists are educated by college professors who are over 80% liberal and anti-Christian.

Our entire education system is being exposed as a sewer of moral relativism, anti-morals, anti-truth, pro junk science.

INDEED.

My pleasure. Since space dust is largely organic, that opens many possibilities. I think people in the information age should begin to realize that no one has all the answers. [Oh the quote is from Ann Coulter’s Godless, page 210-211. I finally got a copy of it a month or so ago. Great book. I was an evolutionist prior to reading it. She shook some of my core beliefs.]

Everything I have been telling you is freely available on the internet and has been confirmed by many different people.

In case you haven't noticed, I have intentionally not appealed to authority. All I have asked is that you go outside and actually look at the Sun, take some measurements and think for yourself. I know that as a creationist that is is anathema to your thought process. You have to have someone tell you what to think and see.

I specifically used the Earth as the center of my coordinate system in our discussion because the Earth is the center of your creationists universe. Everything in the Bible is based on what appears to be, from the view point of someone on the Earth. Joshua didn't stop the Earth from spinning, he stopped the Sun and the Moon from orbiting the Earth. In Revelations the Apostle talks about holding stars in our hand, because they appear to be tiny lights.

The real interesting thing is that using the Earth as the Center of the coordinate system is valid. The center of the coordinate system could be anywhere. This is the fight that Galileo and Bruno were engaged in and it meant that everyone had to give up their belief that the Earth was the center of the Universe.

The benefit to giving up the Earth as the center was that it then became possible (or at least much easier) to accurately determine where things are rather than where they appear to be. The problem for the old Popes and you creationists is that it means that the Authorities in the Bible were wrong. If the Authorities in the Bible were wrong on this important point, it meant that they could be wrong on other points as well.

WOW.

Congrats. May have to get it.

Though I haven’t believed in evolution for more than 35-45 years, IIRC. Just didn’t make sense to me. Required too much

UTTERLY BLIND FAITH.

From their pespective. And yet it’s amazing how accurately the prophets spoke of things not seen or thought possible until recent times.

I think the

fallen angels/nephilium/watchers/”ET’s”

are scheduled to make a lot vis a vis their GREAT DECEPTION in behalf of the globalists and the Biblically predicted global government

with the organic space dust stuff.

They will be claiming that they seeded earth; created man; created the religious figures of history, including Christ and set up all religions as social engineering control mechanisms.

Evolution is dead. It’s burial is not far off. It served satan well for many decades and has deluded a lot of folks into hell. Now, he has other plans requiring difference schemes and deceptions. I think the new term will be along the lines of Panspermia or some such.

It was fascinating . . . I’d long speculated that Carl Sagan was a farce—a government shill—a stooge—on the government payroll to debunk UFO stuff. He just didn’t ring true, to me.

When I saw the movie CONTACT . . . I knew it for sure.

Now, if I understand accurately, documents have surfaced either outlining convincingly from knowledgeable sources or proving that he was just that—a government stooge. He must have quit believing in evolution decades before his death.

Stanton Friedman’s site may have some of that evidence. Stanton certainly shreds Sagan easily.

Would have been sadly interesting to observe his flashes of enlightenment on his death.

[Coulter’s Godless Page 122 — quote] The Cambrian Explosion “is not 10 to 30 million years, as evolutionists like Coyne often claim, but 5 to 10 million years. And that is the maximum length. When dealing with rocks half a billion years old, it’s impossible to resolve times to less than 5 to 10 million years ... in other words, the explosion of animal life could have happened in an instant [snip].

Now that’s what I call ‘stepping back’. [Grin.]

I was just curious what your overall view is on evolution and/or education — whatever point you would like to make.
