Now he wants to remind young people that if not for government we wouldn’t have the national parks, highway system, or civil rights act. ??? So why does congress have a 9% approval rating? On, BTW, whoever had “government is broken” as a drinking point is under the table now.

Fill pot hole, trim trees and make sure the garbage is taken away?

This will go over well with the Police and Firefighters (and other first responders) who are managed by the Major's office.

he said earlier.....a community organizer helps people apply for jobs and sets up after school programs......hmm. I think a mayor has a few more responsibilities than that.

This SOB just turned around the “community organizer” remarks.

He did.

I turned it off because it was too painful to listen to Osama’s long winded “comments”. I say comments, as opposed to answers to the questions being asked.

Q: Senator Obama, do you prefer to call it macaroni and cheese or cheese and macaroni?

A: Well, Judy, I, ah, ah, think that my experience as a community organizer taught me that when cheese and macaroni are brought together, in, uh, uh, say a government program, then it brings a type of sense of unity. If the current administration had realized this then Katrina, ah, ah, would have been handled differently in a, ah, incl--inclusive type of manner. If I had been President at the time I would have imposed a windfall profits tax on Kraft Foods to level the playing field...ah...

Richard and Judy are overcome by the vapors and faint in ecstasy as the camera cuts to commercial.

Uh, Barry, only gov't can pass laws. If it weren't for Republicans, there wouldn't be a Civil Rights Act.

Am watching Sarah Palin’s interview with Gibson.
She is answering foreign affair questions like a veteran.
She could give Boma public speaking lessons

"Fill pot hole, trim trees and make sure the garbage is taken away?"

He was talking about the things Mayors do..That was a subtle put down of Sarah Palin's qualifications.

He said working with churches gave him a good education. He learned that ordinary people can do extraordinary things. He likes to tout his grandfather’s military service and his grandmother’s hard work, becoming the first female bank executive in Hawaii. He couldn’t see those two people as ordinary folks who did extraordinary things in their lives? What a shallow a-hole.

“If there is a documented source proving that B. Hussein will even consider reviving the draft, it would cost him the “yoots” vote. But, I don’t think you will be able to document that.” bttt ~ no dems

You just gotta look under a different word or phrase. :)

In a speech, Obama said he wanted to grow the military by 65,000. Not only that, but if any were to call for a draft, it would be Barack Obama and the DemocRATS. They’re already on the record proposing the idea. (Don’t forget, Obama has already said that he wouldn’t immediately pull out of Iraq, he wants to fight in Afghanistan, and has suggested that he might even invade Pakistan.)

Obama, like all ‘RATS, will push his agenda by stealth. Instead of calling it a (mandatory) draft, he’ll call it something like, “Service Nation” where the service is mandatory.

Oh, WAIT! That’s already in the works!

Is Obama Pushing A National Draft?
News Type: Opinion Seeded on Thu Jul 24, 2008 3:04 PM EDT
http://nearing.newsvine.com/_news/2008/07/24/1692678-is-obama-pushing-a-national-draft-

A relatively new group, Service Nation, is planning to kick off a campaign with a Summit for “National Service” on September 11. Time Magazine has signed on to promote the effort.

The website trumpets its training of “Change Agents” in cooperation with “Change, Inc.” Its blog is called ChangeWire. Does this theme sound familiar?

The website makes it clear that it is not just calling for individuals to get involved, but it is calling for a new National Service Act that will involve the government in transforming American society...

Note the interpretation of community service as promoting national defense, just as in Barack Obama’s July 2, 2008 speech, a juxtaposition that confused most bloggers.

Under [DemocRAT] Rangel’s [military draft] bill, if one is selected for induction into the military, one may choose instead to do civilian service.

... the bill calls this mandatory service “Voluntary Service.”

Maybe he was going to Ayers office on Lakeshore drive to get his marching orders???

BY the way, I guess there was no pretense of a “soundproof booth” for this conversation. He said he had heard John McCain’s response on one of the topics. That seems odd.
