Gee...if Dick Morris thinks Barry will win, I’ll sleep well tonight. ;)

I think he was doing better when he took time off to go to Hawaii. He might want to consider simply disappearing for a week. Maybe his absence will make hearts grow fonder for him.

Perhaps he’ll dump Biden and bring in Hillary. He did have a chat with Bill Clinton today, didn’t he?

Apologies to the Beatles

Cause I’m the tack man
Yea I’m the tack man

If you drive a car-car I’ll tack the street
If you try to sit-sit I’ll tack your seat
If you get too cold I’ll tack the heat
If you take a walk I’ll tack your feet
Tack man

Well I’m the tack man
Yea I’m the tack man

The new tone is to be presented in a speech by Mr. Obama in New Hampshire and backed up by new television advertisements and appearances across the country by supporters.

In addition, advertising themes will be pay equity for women, an issue that has particular resonance as the campaigns battle for female voters, and a more pointed linking of Mr. McCain to President Bush and Republicans in Washington.

But Mr. Obama’s aides said they were confident with the course of the campaign. They said that, other than making some shifts around the edges, particularly in response to Mr. McCain’s effort to seize the change issue from Mr. Obama, they were not planning any major deviation from a strategy that called for a steady escalation of attacks on Mr. McCain as the race heads toward the debates.

As I said on another thread: I have been following presidential races since Nixon-Kennedy in 1960 when I worked for the Nixon campaign as a boy of 10 and I have never seen so much attention, and so many attacks, paid to a vice presidential candidate as I have on Palin. Think the Libs are nervous?

OBAMA PLANS SHARPER TACK... DEVELOPING...

I “assume” this comes AFTER meeting with Slick Willie today. Guess he told O to hit hard and hit often and make things up....OH and alienate women too!! Yeah, that’s the way to win this election. Just seeing Obama with slick Willie made my stomach turn. Did this affect you that way?

Folks, this has nothing to do with ANYTHING other than fund raising.

The polls have hit him at the worst possible time. He desperately needs money influx to buy ads and compete and fund GOTV. The money isn’t flowing because he’s in trouble.

So the answer is forced upon him . . . he’ll have to move back leftward and fire cannons to generate money. It risks the middle, but the middle is already going against him. He will fire cannons by painting McCain and Palin as extreme right wing.

Don’t help him. Keep all talk of McCain and Palin about moderate centrist topics like corruption reform and energy. Minimize talk of abortion and religion.

Oh man.... this would be GOLD if they attacked on equal pay. Did I not see a story today that Obama does not pay females on his staff equally?

I think Bill dropped this bomb during their meeting today LOL!

“Making government cool again...” Oh, that's good Barry...please make that your slogan. Do an ad with you and Michelle dancing on Ellen. And don't forget P. Diddy. (rolling eyes)

My favorite line

Still, interviews with advisers and supporters suggested a concern not seen in the Obama campaign since its most competitive days in the long primary fight with Mrs. Clinton.

That's what happens when a moose gets moose in your shorts. Gov Palin has got inside his misogynist head, and she is a woman he can't seem to give the finger too, withut her breaking it off.

Excellent! He's going to go negative, which means not talking about the issues. When you play defense, your only hope is to probe for your opponent's weaknesses. I don't think he can find the chinks in the GOP armor. If he wasn't able to do it by now, he'll never be able to do it. He's playing on our terms!

I’ll tell you a secret: an empty suit could do a better job than Obama and Biden put together.

The economy is the GOP’s main weak point in this election cycle.

Many thanks to the gluttonous RINOs that gorged themselves to the disgust of the voters and lost both houses of congress. The democrats might be completely ignorant about how to run the economy, but the republicans can take plenty of blame for the current mess.
