Poor Peggy, she disses Gov. Palin at the convention, and now she can't be knocked out by her MSM friends and elite in which Ms. Noonan has become.

Peggy is like Obama, in that Gov. Palin(a rural rube, in Peggy's eyes) has stolen her spotlight, and Peggy's spotlight is that as being the womens voice of the GOP, and she can't stand it.

Go away Peggy "IT'S OVER".

[Your conservative credentials that is, we heard what you said into that hot microphone you thought was turned off, we know what you meant, and no amount of sucking up is going to make it go away.]

Once again:

IT'S OVER PEGGY

noonan was MSNBC fawning over Gov. Kane (eyebrow man)

her comments in general are fawning over Obama. Noonan has fallen so far down into the gutter.

The Road Less Traveled

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference.

The money quote;

Forget what Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin can do to Mr. Obama: If he embarrasses the media, they'll kill him.

Gov. Palin dismissed the media out of hand at the convention. This did not make them happy campers. So in retribution, the media came down on her with both feet. The Obama campaign saw this and thought it was open season, so they piled on as well. BIG mistake.....the media and Rats got hit with blowback and McCain/Palin got a larger and faster than expected bounce. Smarting from these two slaps in the face, they feel their relevancy has been called into question....their bias exposed for the masses to see. Even those who pay scant attention to politics are suddenly aware that the media that they depend on to give them the straight story.....isn't doing it's job.

Obama now represents the media's only chance for salvation, plus, he's a two-fer! If they start questioning Obama,I mean really questioning him, that will take care of the (alleged) bias. Then, when Obama folds like a $2 suitcase under their questioning, they can lay claim to exposing him and saving the nation from him......and that will take care of the relevancy.

Hey Sen. Obama, that red spot on your forehead may not be a skin blemish!

I am SO tempted to go hotmike on you, Peggy. But I’ll just say that you’re only half-exposed as a phony: the snobbish nouveau-lib half cooing encouragement to Obama. The other half remains hidden: you secretly detest the Obamas just as much as you envy the McCains.

I remember when Peggy dissed President Bush for saying "God" in a speech.

Ugh. Peggy's been fruity for years. And her writing seems childish to me.

Peggy, Peggy, Peggy,...

You know we love you, and we know you are contractually obligated to file a column each week, but it would be better for you if you just went away for a while to let us cool off.

You can’t go insulting us in public like that and expect us to be all kissy-face a week or two later. Not gonna happen.

Maybe in a little while, if you stop annoying us in the meantime, but not right now.

A hint of pro-Democrat desperation in Grampa Bush’s former speechwriter’s choppy list? Noonan’s advice: You Dems should punt and regroup, you Dems should hit the downlow and just wait for Gov. Lipstick’s handlers to overreach, you Dems should try to divide and conquer McCain-Palin... doesn’t she mean to write “we Dems”?

And as to the Obama campaign’s “experience in turning inevitable candidacies into evitable ones,” is she referring to the way O’s campaign’s close reading of caucus rules and loopholes, and MoveOn types, and MSNBC carried the formerly-anti-war Obama into contention, or is she sarcastically piling onto Obama’s reputed inability to “close the deal”? Doubt that any major-party nominee has ever lost so many primaries after having clinched the nomination. Sen. Obama can be “talented, resourceful and compelling,” especially when he’s acting out prepared lines read from a teleprompter, but lately he’s been showing us just how much serious campaigning is “above his pay grade.”

Peggy Peggy
“and not at this beautiful girl, Sarah Palin,”
That's the best you can do? Not articulate woman? Would you call Obama a handsome boy? I doubt it ..imagine the backlash you would get. A beautiful girl?
Geesh Peggy...You are now irrelevant!

I agree with much of what she said. But this: Forget what Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin can do to Mr. Obama: If he embarrasses the media, they'll kill him.

Laughable. The media will photoshop this guy into office if they have to.

It's actually a fairly reasoned take on Palin and the demonrat and msm reaction/attack. One thing she makes clear, Obama is the dem’s and the msm’s candidate. Thanks to Sarah Palin, the msm’s political bias is beyond obvious. There is no impartiality of the press myth to hide behind any more.

she's sipping vodka and looking out at Central Park way too much.

We aren't in 2 wars, the war we have is global in nature and involves an anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-capitalist movement of Muslims in order to make a greater Muslim empire and essentially spread the Muslim faith. One war, several fronts.

Our economy is NOT in shambles, but with GOVERNMENT "help" the thieves in congress will help the their fellow thieves at Fannie May and Freddie Mac. The rest of the home mortgage disaster can be laid at the feet of congress as well with the rule imposed on loans to poor risks in order to give away other people's money....again.

She is trying to be the "sober" objective voice of "I told you so" amongst her cocktail circuit friends that well, if you guys would have played your cards right Obama would be king, but tsk, tsk, tsk... this stupid, motorcycle mama kicked your a##es so here's what ya gotta do. "pass me the Appletini, please.".....

Life is like highschool....... the new girl is hot looking, normal, can play some sports, camp and hunt... in general a lot of the guys like her.... so the cheerleaders, sluts, hairy legged chicks in student government, and the girls on yearbook committee, hate her...... cause all the hot guys and jocks like to hang out with her. hahahahahahahaha......

Girls that aren't drama queens, can clean up, aren't falling down drunks/stoners, are athletic, have some moral maturity with a foundation in a power greater than themselves and don't whine but deal with stuff ALWAYS are liked by the guys and hated by the chicks.....

I wonder how many more women hunters or skeet shooters we get this generation? I wonder how many less abortions will be performed by girls that are inspired by Sarah Palin?

She's not perfect, but dang it she's the kind of woman I'd like to be friends with my wife or be friends with her husband and not feel uncomfortable with her when I came over to the house to watch the game. She seems like a regular gal.

and THAT's what they REALLY HATE about her.

I give Peggy credit here...she sees the problem...good luck herding the screeching masses Peggy, they have been taught how to be deranged by BDS, perpetrated by your beloved leftist moles in the media. You don't have time to erase the pattern.

More grit and less fawning; the preferred Noonan in my opinion. I take exception to the Palin handicap, however. Palin is not indestructible, but to the contrary, she is quite normal.

To the unrecognized citizens that are the fiber and fabric of our Country, thank you. And thank you Sarah Palin for shedding inextinguishable light on America’s exceptionalism.

Mrs. Palin radiates the sense that she'd never give up her femininity in her quest for power because her femininity is part of her power. (On the Democratic side, she can be compared in this to Nancy Pelosi.)

I SO want to like Noonan. I've enjoyed her writing in the past, and think she's very smart.

But...like W. (I like him more than most FReepers seem to), she has this kneejerk, foolish need to be perceived as nonpartisan and "fair to both sides". There's always a point in her columns where I just can't stands no more, and comparing Palin to the loathsome, female-impersonator-like Pelosi was what made me bail on this piece.
