McCain Responds to Obama's Reported Undermining of the Commander-In-Chief During Wartime

McCain Responds to Obama's Reported Undermining of the Commander-In-Chief During Wartime [Andy McCarthy]

The McCain Campaign has issued a statement responding to the report from Amer Taheri (see today's web briefing) that Sen. Obama secretly negotiated with the Iraqi government regarding U.S. withdrawal from Iraq. McCain spokesman Randy Scheunemann stated as follows:

At this point, it is not yet clear what official American negotiations Senator Obama tried to undermine with Iraqi leaders, but the possibility of such actions is unprecedented. It should be concerning to all that he reportedly urged that the democratically-elected Iraqi government listen to him rather than the US administration in power. If news reports are accurate, this is an egregious act of political interference by a presidential candidate seeking political advantage overseas. Senator Obama needs to reveal what he said to Iraq's Foreign Minister during their closed door meeting. The charge that he sought to delay the withdrawal of Americans from Iraq raises serious questions about Senator Obama's judgment and it demands an explanation.

Nice catch. This basically confirms the NY Post article.

Someone needs to make sure the McCain/Palin campaign sees this.

“Meantime.. O’Reilly is doing a puff piece on Obama’s life.

All because Obama did an interview with him.”

I know. At the end it almost looked like he was going to bite into the meat, but he drank the koolaide instead. I am so over that lightweight pen spinner.

“Seriously, the story came out early this morning. I saw it at 8:00 am. Rush was on it at noon.

And McCain finally responds at dinner time?”

Yeah. I posted it at my facebook at 6:19 a.m. and then at Hot Air when Ed put up his first thread. It seemed LIKE forever waiting for anything else to come out. I was delighted when I heard that Rush had said something..

“This is something that is beyond the imagination. “

How about a US Naval Reserve officer negotiating with the Viet Cong in Paris?

and who were the senators who visited Baghdad just prior to W pulling the pin? Wasn’t that Biden and Durban?

Remember Carter going to Korea to negotiate, and apparently Clinton was unaware until he got a [collect] call from Pyongyang?

This goes on all the time (D).

IMHO This is a no-win for the Obots in the media and it will be ignored.

Just my two Lincolns,

IF TRUE will surely lead to the immediate suspension of the Obama / Biden campaign.

But, they are 'rats. Barney Frank had a gay escort service operating at his residence; Ted Kennedy abandoned a woman to die in his car. Clinton...you name it, they did it.

They will brazen this out easily.

Sure hope so. The NYT article is the one that is the most damning—wish I knew how to link to it. It was written back in June, and was linked to in the thread on this posted early this AM.

Just when things are going so swell, now there's a rumor that McCain might support the Gang of 10! I'm sick!

And what is wrong with FR???

One of my biggest problems with Barack Hussein Obama is that he does not sound sensible when I hear him unfiltered and unedited

Its Obama's years of Cocaine abuse. CrackHead-OB!

McCain will not stand for manipulating out troops like that.

If obambi did this - and it's totally within character - I don't think McCain will let the media slide on this. indeed, isn't this a criminal act?

You mess with out troops, you mess with McCain.

How could the DNC put forth another candidate when it is too late to get on most state ballots? Very intriguing.

If true, this would certainly fit in with the other manifestations & Freudian slips of Obama’s anointed one psyche.

Yes, a megalomaniac. He’s certainly overstepped the boundaries this time.

I think they are stuck with Obama at this point.

[..other times, he sounds like he is trying to sound smart, without succeeding.]

In high school we liked to try out our vocabulary words on the field and in the cafeteria, and elsewhere. Always trying to sound big. I often think of this when I hear Barack speak.
