Mod note: Do no post any screenshots of Governor Palin's Yahoo account on Free Republic.
Thank you.

On the heels of media reports that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was using a private Yahoo e-mail account (gov.palin@yahoo.com) to conduct Alaska state business, hackers have broken into the account and posted evidence of the hijack on Wikileaks.

An activist group calling itself ‘anonymous’ claimed responsibility for the compromise and released screenshots, photographs and the e-mail addresses of several people close to Palin, including her husband Todd and assistant Ivy Frye.

No. There used to be a time when conservatives had standards, sadly that’s been thrown out the window to satisfy the McCain machine. McCain wins the GOP nomination with 30% of the vote and FR falls right in line.

This wasn’t a case of Sarah Palin being the victim. She took unnecessary stupid risks with official Alaska business. What if instead of loony left “hackers” got into her account, terrorists got into it? How many state secrets could they have had access to? Especially with a quick request for sensitive information.

Look at it this way, you read in the newspaper that somebody was robbed in a bad section of town, and the thieves got away with $500,000 in cash. You feel sorry for the victim, but you have to question the victim’s judgment for walking around unprotected with that much cash. If something is important to you, you don’t take those risks.

Didn’t you also hear that Obama’s account was hacked too. TheMessiah08@yahoo.com. They found no emails. The hackers also tried feverishly to find some of his accomplishments... unfortunately there are none.

4chan.org is responsible for this. Simple as that. Call your congress person and get this cess poll of a website taken down.

The problem is someone hacked her account...that is like opening someone’s mailbox and rummaging through their mail. It is illegal.

Has the Obama campaign issued a stern condemnation of this violation of federal law? Have they called for an investigation? I’m hearing STUNNING silence from the Obama campaign.

Exactly. You can’t.

Greta was all over this story tonight.

She is firmly behind Sarah.

The liberals on the panel started to insinuate that Sarah MAY have used her personal account for government business.

There was no evidence of such, but they still said it was possible.

You could tell she was ticked off, and mentioned that there is a presumption of innocents, and the actual crime was committed AGAINST Sarah.

Greta also stated that if they find the person/persons responsible it can get the person 5 years in prison(state law) and 1-2 years for federal offenses.

Greta had a poll on the publics view of the hack of sarahs email.

Over 60% said it was a harmless prank.

Someone got back to her and told her that within 5 minutes over 2000 votes were registered.

She said that it seems some DUance has hacked the poll.

It’s always the seriousness of the charge with liberals, isn’t it? They claim that she “may” have used it for govt purposes in the future, that’s good enough for them. BS

Her email was hacked. It’s a federal crime. She used that email, apparently, for personal use, NOT business, even though some are already telling the falsehood that she DID use it for official business. She didn’t.

Yes, I was pretty outraged that her panel implied the hacking was justified because she MIGHT have sent govt. related emails. They totally missed the point. It’s a scary implication for all of us.

I tried to vote in Greta’s poll and couldn’t. Something weird was going on.

The question was poorly worded. If it was a prank it was not harmless.

I was curious about what is permitted and not permitted on personal email.

I found this comment very interesting from aol.

Anonymous may be unaware, but elected officials not only may use private email addresses to correspond with other public officials, they actually must if it is material deemed not appropriate. For example, if Nancy Pelosi wanted to send the latest Michael Moore video to Howard Dean, she'd have to use her yahoo email address to do it, not her house email. So a bunch of addresses of people like Arnold Schwarzenegger showing on the list is evidence of nil.

Yes that Gloria Alridge queen b - it was the only thing she was obsessing over. Not over who was victimized but whether Palin had been using the email account for nefarious government purposes. To hide something. Obamabot.

“4chan.org is responsible for this.”

I’d guess someone in the O campaign, and /b/tards will take the fall for it.
