Rock-Throwing Protesters Try To Drag Missing Girl's Grandfather Into Street

A group of rock-throwing protesters shined flashlights into the windows of the home of missing toddler Caylee Anthony's grandparents and fought with the family early Thursday before trying to drag Anthony's grandfather into the street.

Since Caylee's mother, Casey, was released from jail for a third time, protesters have continued to gather outside the home and become more aggressive. Several people were seen banging on the Anthony family's home and throwing rocks at the structure.

"(We're here) just to protest," a woman said outside of the home. "It's just to break them down. I think they are just protecting their daughter (Casey) which is the wrong thing to do in this case."

Grandmother Cindy Anthony ran outside with a bat in hand when the group began screaming at her husband, George, early Thursday.

A protester then reached over and tried to drag George Anthony off his property.

Local 6 reported that Cindy Anthony was pushed by a protester during the incident.

After the confrontation, George Anthony sprayed down the group of people with a hose.

By the time, officers arrived at the Anthony home, the group had left the neighborhood. No one was charged in the incident but deputies are looking at the Local 6 video.

The group of protesters yelled, "See you tomorrow" before driving away.

Search Taken To Puerto Rico

Meanwhile, George and Cindy Anthony are taking the search to find Caylee to Puerto Rico.

Cindy Anthony sat down with a Univision reporter for a one-on-one interview for the Spanish language TV station.

Anthony said she wanted to do the interview because of the large Puerto Rican viewership and she would like for the report to be played in Puerto Rico.

She said the family got tips about Caylee but could not give details about exactly where in Puerto Rico.

In the interview, Cindy Anthony said investigators told her weeks ago about evidence from the body farm.

According to investigators, the evidence suggests that Caylee is dead.

Cindy Anthony said she believes it was an intimidation tactic.

I’ll bet these folks all watch Nancy Grace. Once Nancy has declared your guilt, the mob rules!

In other words, these 'protestors' are no better than Casey.

Idiots.

Wel, I mentioned those things. After watching that scene yesterday, i would bet some of them are going to be prosecuted.

You know, maybe Anthony’s are doing a little engaging in order to goad them into ending it out there.

Can’t say I would blame them, I would hate to live on their street right now.

The only problem with your statement is that it implies there is such a thing as a good Lifetime movie

I think this is great.

So lynch the grandfather because the mother hasn't been charged yet?

What idiocy.

Interesting example of the power of the media - there are many, many, perpetrators of crimes more grievous than this one walking around scott free.

Granted, this is terrible and I’ve no sympathy for these folks - but the mob is clearly being whipped up by the endless reporting by Nancy Grace and Greta.

They should start reporting on the pedophiles and other scum walking around.

It is not unlawful to stand out on the street

Throwing rocks?

Blocking traffic?

Disturbing the peace?

Harassment?

Banging on the home?

Assault?

Regardless of how I feel about the case, these people have a right to be secure on their property and in their home.

The "protestors" are out of line on this one.

And if Cheryl Ladd is unavailable, Valerie Bertinelli can step in.

exactly.

While I hope that sweet little girl finally gets justice - and my suspicion is that her party-loving mother used chloroform to put her little girl ‘to sleep’ so’s she could go out to the bars and then one night, accidentally gave her too much - and that sorry excuse for a mother deserves to hang - mob rule is mob rule and not acceptable in this country.

And why the lack of police until after = long after, it seems, violence they know is going to happen, happens. Are they hoping there's a lynching? A young boy got hurt there a few nights ago.

Oh yeah, that was a good movie based on the Floyd Collins/Sand Cave media circus back in 1925.

“The Anthony family needs to quit coming out and engaging these people. This is what those people want.”

I think the Anthony family is a little nutty. Don’t get me wrong, I feel bad for the Grandma, the granddaughter was a spitting image of her. But protecting the bad seed like this? Some thing’s not right. As far as the protesters go, I don’t know what to think. You have got to admit, what is going on with our legal system? Why is the ball being dropped. It looks like the legal system is broken, the reason we have a legal system is to prevent this type of mob justice. So when the legal system doesn’t work, you are going to have to expect some back-lash. I am not saying I agree with the protesters, but I understand why it is happening.

They should just block off the street. After the OJ fiasco, they blocked the entrance to his street on Sunset. People still found a back way to get through but most people didn’t know where it was.

I agree with you. I would never do it, and certainly the people out there look like a bunch of thugs.

Heard on Fox news this morning that a judge denied a request to remove these people on those grounds, however if any of them engage in these things mentioned in your post they can be arrested.

This case really is a shame. I doubt the little girl will ever be found.

By the way, I read a book some years back by Gavin DeBecker, in it he was saying that the worse thing people can do is engage people like this, it is probably the natural thing to do, but it just feeds them.

The police should move these “protestors” out, before someone gets hurt. These idiots need to find something better to do with their time. So does Nancy Grace, for that matter.

In the old days, Casey Anthony would have been hung 2 weeks ago, and O.J. Simpson would have long been in the ground.

Along with a lot of innocent people.

But that's a small price to pay for getting your rocks off.
