It would be hard to change the timestamp on when the email was sent.

im not arguing that point. I completely agree with you. However I am saying it is an important difference between “ a guy in the city of chicago hacked palins email” and the statement “ the guy that hacked palins email is from chicago the home town and location of obama headquarters”

If like myself and most people on free republic were to skim that latter headline it would read like the guy that hacked her email was in obamas campaign headquarters.

And we dont want to have our people riot in the streets if he was not working for obama......
But if he were then we would ......

“That’s what I was thinking. This was not a “hack”, apparently. Her password was probably something like trig123 and someone figured it out. “

The hacker actually posted how he reset the password. He was unable to guess it. So he used the Yahoo password reset function to create a new password that he knew. By using publicly available information, and some social engineering, he was able to reset the account.

Yahoo uses a specific set of questions to verify users during a password reset. This ‘well known’ list of questions is a vulnerability because.... well, since you know the list of questions, you can search for the answers.

All he needed to know was her Yahoo email address, DOB, how/where she met her husband, ZIP code and some other easily obtained information.

Well if there is a bloodtrail leading to the door of the victims worst enemy, one could make a pretty good assumption

I'd guess they've already nailed somebody...

All he/she to do is look out the window......see that guy working in the manhole..that delivery van...that tow truck...the guy with the valise....the lady with the stroller...the guy with the cane...that old couple...

That's true. A thousand Drew Carey types rioting in the streets would be an ugly scene wouldn't it? LOL

I don’t think its a coincidence that they picked someone from Chicago to run for President. They know how dirty and ruthless the politics are in Chicago. Its win at any cost. They were the ones who stole the election for Kennedy in 1960, and they have only gotten worse since then.

The lie about Trig was traced to Ploufe and Axelrod but nothing ever came of it.

That's not true.

About 2 weeks after Nixon resigned, the House passed Articles of Impeachment for the purpose of, as Rep Peter Rodino said, having it a part of the historical record.

CA....

Useful tip #47: you do not have to give truthful answers to these password backup questions. No one checks or cares if they're accurate or not. In fact, you can create an 'answer' made up of any combinations of characters, much like a password (assuming you need to create a question and answer in order to create an account in the first place). And you can always go back and change it at any time (hint hint, like right now).

When the Democratic Convention was in Chicago (was is 1996?), ABC News filmed several known mobsters hanging out at cocktail parties with the Dems. But that was one night’s news. They dropped the story and there was no follow up.

Watergate 2

Victor Lasky wrote a book entitled It Didn't Start With Watergate (Dutton, 1977). Looks like it didn't end with Watergate, either.

Hmmm... what's that stench in the air surrounding the O'Bammy campaign... it smells like.. FEAR.

I love the smell of Democrats crapping their panties in the morning.

It smells like... VICTORY

Not true - the IP address and computer this came from will be public news soon. Obama better hope it didn’t come from anyone close to him.

Professional courtesy? Or perhaps it was due to CNN logic? Remember when CNN said it was ignoring Saddam Hussein’s (is it racist to use his name?) crimes so they could stay in Iraq to have access?
