Geez, that must have made for great television. Two idiots who don’t know what they’re talking about having an argument. It’s probably like watching an MTV show.

morris numbers is not up to date, the bounce is pretty much gone

They are up to date as far as state polls go. Why there seems to be a bit of a disconnect in a couple national polls with the state polls is another question. Perhaps some of the state polls don't reflect the last few days of movement, but I know several of them do.

This seems overly optimistic. But if true it is GREAT. Every tossup state was a blue state in 2004. That means Obama has to hold the line in every tossup state and win 21 additional EV from leaning McCain.

I hope Morris has the Dem Vote Fraud Machine calculated in there. If he doesn’t he will look worse than Karl Rove in 2006.

not entirely - before the “bounce”, the perception was the zerO could not lose. The real bounce was the permanent sea-change in thinking that McCain not only wants to win but has a reasonable chance of winning. This was laughable a few weeks back.

Under this scenario, it seems that McCain gets about 7,000 electoral votes. Is that right?

I generally agree, though I think IA, NM, NV, and NH are tossups at the moment. Still, this campaign is now largely being waged in the Kerry states of 2004, especially from an electoral vote perspective.

Bush states in '04 that are now tossups (IMO):
Iowa 7 EV
New Mexico 5 EV
Nevada 5 EV
Total EV: 17 EV

Kerry states in '04 that are now tossups (IMO):
Minnesota 10 EV
Wisconsin 10 EV
Michigan 17 EV
Pennsylvania 21 EV
New Hampshire 4 EV Total EV: 62 EV

I don't believe that Washington and Oregon are really tossups (much like New Jersey which a recent poll showed as close to a statistical tie). I hope I'm wrong, but I bet those states will revert to their 2000 and 2004 results (with the Dems).

Well, if I remember correctly I believe O’Reilly was nodding with him in agreement, so, yes on watching two idiots but, we didn't get the benefit of watching them argue.

God love the Rust Belt....Dem governors & legislatures and the places are emptying out like someone phoned in a bomb threat.

They fall for the same Dem songbook every 4 years.

Now, the contest is transitioning from post-convention issues to a race dominated by the economy.

And that too will change over the weeks ahead. It's a long time, politically, until November. I actually think Morris has got it just about right.

Even if all the yellow states on Morris’s map go Obama, with the inclusion of New Mexico, McCain wins 274 to Obamas 264.

While I like the message I hate the messenger.

Morris is so far behind the curve that you always find him stating the obvious.

Gov Palin IS a Seattle Seahawks fan, after all!

People in the West are looking far more closely at the Republican ticket because there is a Pacific Northwest woman on the ticket.

I hope the election is called for McCain/Palin BEFORE the polls close on the West Coast, that would be a riot.

I really do not believe ANYTHING this loony tune says. And WHY does Fox act like his word is gospel??? Replace that man with Carl Rove . . . then I will give some serious thought to the prediction.
