Why is it not surprising that McCain enjoy the company of left-wing Democrats?

Nothing that comes out of his mouth surprises me any longer. He is a tired, nasty, old fart, who when he breaks wind farts dust.

How sad that his first order of business as President rightfully should be planning his state funeral.

This is akin to reaching blindfolded into a basket of snakes and hoping there’s not a cobra in the bunch.

It is even worse.

It is like reaching blindfolded into a basket of snakes KNOWING there is a cobra in the bunch.

Good Lord. What are McCain’s handlers thinking?
This will be a nightmare if NObama’s people pick it up and go with it.

As one poster previously opined, i’m going with Palin even if I have to go through McCain to do it.

Obama can’t say anything about it. He is tied to Stonewall too.

Check out the Marxist Mail List. It says McCain and Obama are both the Unity Party Candidates:

http://archives.econ.utah.edu/archives/marxism/2007w03/msg00087.htm

Excerpt:

The organizers of Unity08 don’t seem to much in the way of any policy principles either as Michael Bloomberg, John McCain, and Barak Obama are all mentioned as potential candidates.

"Andrew Cuomo, the youngest Housing and Urban Development secretary in history, made a series of decisions between 1997 and 2001 that gave birth to the country's current crisis. He took actions that—in combination with many other factors—helped plunge Fannie and Freddie into the subprime markets without putting in place the means to monitor their increasingly risky investments.

He turned the Federal Housing Administration mortgage program into a sweetheart lender with sky-high loan ceilings and no money down, and he legalized what a federal judge has branded "kickbacks" to brokers that have fueled the sale of overpriced and unsupportable loans. Three to four million families are now facing foreclosure, and Cuomo is one of the reasons why."

Why does McCain insist on opening his big dumb mouth?

Thanks...I was not aware.
You know, maybe (as was suggested in an earlier comment)
this is just to get NY votes.
I can’t imagine why, with everything going so well since Palin’s joining the ticket, that he would sabotage what support he has from the conservative base.
After all,he just mentioned Cuomo, and didn’t give a definite answer on it.
Let’s get Palin-ooops, I meant McCain/Palin :) elected first, and get the GOP back in control of Congress,THEN deal with the rest. Really-at this point, what else is there?

IMO, Palin was to get conservative votes. McCain’s ‘reach across the table’ is standard for him as a Unity Party candidate. See my post 66 for reference.

Senator McCain, here’s some free advice from someone who would really like to see you be the President, instead of your opponent: NIX THIS CHOICE IMMEDIATELY!!!

Andrew Cuomo is not only a self-aggrandizing super-liberal, but he was head of HUD when this mortgage crisis started. He’s at least partially to blame for the situation we’re in, a situation that Cuomo’s ideological ally (your opponent) is using against you.

Really, Senator McCain, if this was a trial balloon then it is constructed of solid lead. Forget Cuomo - or anyone associated with the Clinton Administration or Obama. You’re NOT going to win any votes or support among liberals by saying things like this, but you WILL lose support among those who would otherwise support you.

Nothing here other then a good political move by McCain.

That's how I'm trying to look at this. I sure hope it's true.

my best guess is he is courting the pumas.
You can get a little insight to that group here..

http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net

The more he peels off this group from Obama - the better his chances in battleground states.

Just a guess.

The other possiblility could be - old habits die hard?
He can’t help himself?

Everyone should relax. McCain is really smart on war and getting in Putin’s face and stuff like that. With him in charge, we will get to pay for more nation building in Iraq and maybe somewhere in Africa, or something. Who knows, it will all work out. Who’s cares about what happens in this country.

McCain’s best friends are Kennedy, Leiberman, and now Cuomo. They know best how to handle things like, well, the supreme court, immigration, and the economy.

McCain may not be a communist. But that’s only because he doesn’t really know what it is. He’s focused on more important things and he doesn’t know much about economics. That’s for staff to figure out. There’s no glory in spreadsheets and numbers.
