Mr. Obama has clearly been lying about his association with Mr. Ayers and his involvement with the CAC. Makes one wonder what other lies has he been telling. Its hard to avoid jumping to the conclusion that his whole life is a lie and a deception.

Mr. Ayers wrote that teachers should be community organizers dedicated to provoking resistance to American racism and oppression. His preferred alternative? "I'm a radical, Leftist, small 'c' communist," Mr. Ayers said in an interview in Ron Chepesiuk's, "Sixties Radicals," at about the same time Mr. Ayers was forming CAC.

CAC translated Mr. Ayers's radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with "external partners," which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).

Mr. Obama once conducted "leadership training" seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama's early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education.

Email to all your liberal friends/enemies. O stands for Zero... and Obama is a communist.

Not one American in a thousand will have been made aware of this story by the election unless Obama does something really foolish like take on this report directly.

All of this will be washed away in the financial crisis. Even without that crisis, the only way this story would have gotten traction is if the candidate himself pushed it and McCain has little stomach for that sort of work.

We Freepers read these stories and react to them and then on election Day we cannot understand why any part of the country would have truck with the likes of Obama. Ask your friends and neighbors next week who are not political junkies like we are, without leading them, what they know of this story. You know what the answer will be.

These neighbors vote.

Very informative column. Thanks for posting it!

Mr. Ayers's defenders claim that he has redeemed himself with public-spirited education work.

Without repentance, there is no redemption.

Has Kurtz or anyone disclosed if Barry’s Chairmanship was a paid position? If so, how much?

That’s right Barack you’re not guilty by association with Ayers, you’re guilty by participation.
