Looks like deciding to return to DC by Mr. McCain worked out all right.

Country first.

the Pollercoaster

That sounds like the featured ride at a San Francisco theme park.

How about that Bill Clinton? LOL. He's really throwing Obama under the bus.

BTW, I'm told that if the debates go on, "Hannity's America" will cover debate stuff Sunday night, bumping MY segment from the show. So I hope McCain doesn't debate :)

Here is the money quote from today's Gallup write-up:

A night by night analysis of interviewing results, however, does not suggest that McCain had a dramatically better night against Obama on Wednesday. Instead, the data show that McCain has been doing slightly better for the last three days than he had in the previous week, and with some strong Obama days falling off of the rolling average, the race has moved to its current tied position.

This pretty much matches my internal calculations. A huge Obama day (Sunday) dropped off today. The last three days were essentially even, except that I have McCain narrowly winning yesterday (offsetting Obama narrowly winning on Tuesday -- I had Monday as even). I admit to having been worried that initial reaction to McCain's announcements yesterday would have been negative. Not any more.

I notice the usual poll defeatists have skipped this thread. I wonder why - any idea, CatOwner?

McCain must have polled huge last night to jump 3.

It was more a very good Sunday for Obama rolling off today's average, but it does appear that McCain narrowly won Wednesday night.

The RCP average is being pulled by the OBVIOUS OUTLIER CBS Poll, that had Obama up by 9

Different methodologies. Gallup's movements are always more sudden and extreme.

Obama’s Sunday strength was both the talk of the bailout, and the fact that McCain supporters were in church.
