The AssClown RNC, the ones who gave us our triumphant victory in 2006, never wanted Palin. They wanted Plastic Man, Mitt Romney. They hate Palin. Why do you think the RNC people never came out to defend her after the initial attacks? They are in on it with the news media: they wanted Mitt.
Who do you think put Kathleen Parker up to this column? McCain needs Palin to win the election. The RNC, the people who couldn't beat Hitler in an election for mayor of Tel Aviv, these people are more concerned about putting the Rank and File (that would be Us, people), in their place. This is about control of the Party.
You think Kathleen Parker is predictable? I can almost write the scathing George Will column that will come out. The Republican Beltway establishment has done literally nothing to build this party since Reagan left town and went to his great reward. Sarah Palin is part of the solution, not part of the problem.
Trust me, the RNC and the people in Washington know nothing about the Party in the Country. They are the Blind leading the Blind. Only the rank and file in the country have eyes to see; and they love Sarah Palin. McCain's instincts on her are good. I know an operative who went through 2006 and saw how hideously inept the RNC actually had become in the late Rove days. I wouldn't trust any RNC people or their kept scribblers to judge Sarah Palin. She's a work in progress.
The DU people don't get this because they have skin in the game on the other side. Palin is a Godsend for the Party. Right now, she knows a few things very well: energy politics and fiscal matters. She's weak on national affairs and foreign policy. The Left wants to destroy her because they see her potential. So do the Beltway Republicans: who do not want to reform the Republican Party because they make money the old fashioned way-they steal it!
Palin will do fine against Mr. Ego. Indeed, better than expected. She did poorly against Couric because she knew she was going into a hostile interview and she's been told to regurgitate talking points instead of being her honest self (trust me, Couric was a hostile interviewer). Palin should show what she knows, admit what she doesn't know, and admit to the fact that she's on a learning curve.
The news media has done things to her that they would never dream of doing to Obama, primarily because they know that they want to get him elected. Palin is tough-and I am convinced that with time, she has the ability to match Reagan in communications skills. But a hideously inept and paranoid McCain Campaign needs to relax and let her be the Candidate that was swept into the Governorship in Alaska and still enjoys vast support in that state.
Of course she's no Reagan. Yet. Even Reagan had a learning curve.
Best,
Chris
Definitely, no offense to Tim Pawlenty, but could you imagine this race if he was the VP nominee?
however, she is being attacked like no other....she is being baited constantly.....
Reagan himself under this sort of attack would be less than his normal self.....
First....I don't even know who this Parker woman is..
"Conservative" ????....I hardly doubt that.....
its okay....we're learning who the real conservatives and Republicans are ...
the GOP has to realize that as a whole, we are not the party of the country club....we are the party of average people.....working people....people with down home values....
we are not going to get in lock step just because one of our so-called "intelligensia" commanders makes a declaration.....
RAGE ON SARAH PALIN.
some people were rooting for her LAST March and even before that.....
there are Reagans out there.....including Sarah....will the Drivebys and the fake “conservative” pundits let one flourish?......that is the question..
Palins' answer was meandering but no more so than Bidens' answers or Bama......take it all in context...
Not trolling, just being realistic. She can’t come out and just start letting words flow out of her mouth. That answer showed she didn’t understand the question. Katy Couric didn’t either, of course, and I certainly am not defending her.
Yes, I got my answer...no cred for Parker
and I agree very few politicians or pundits are offering any cogent answers
Screw that...what does Queen Coulter the great think of her?
