This supposed respected conservative columnist is published in the Washington Post.

Sorry, I've never heard of her so she must be a plant!

Yeah, I'm watching CNN trashing Sarah right now.

But their golden boy can go stuttering around and talking about 57 states, etc. and I guess that's OK.

And Joe Biden can go spouting off about helicopters in Afghanistan being brought down and other garbage, and he gets a free pass as well.

I like Sarah Palin but this answer really doesn’t make much sense:

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? … Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

Never heard of this Kathleen Parker but I’m sure she will get a lot of media attention & free publicity for this move.

Think how upset this woman would be if Sarah had thought FDR went on TV in 1929?

Maybe she is conservative like Obama represents “change”.

Oh yea, change.... like Obama sat there doing the same old same old these last couple of days in D.C., letting the old democrat dogs call the shots, doing what they say (he is only a JUNIOR Senator anyway remember, which I did these last couple of days as I saw him obeying orders and doing as he was TOLD to do), and then leading their little democrat group in that meeting because the old democrat dogs “LET him lead their group”— LET / ALLOWED / PERMITTED him to do.

Did anyone else notice how Obama only looked like a little brother who was invited because his older brother (John McCain) was the one actually invited and wanted, but little brother had to go since the older brother was going. (Anyone with close-age siblings knows what I mean!) And Obama LOOKED like the little brother who did not fit in there. His friends HAD to include him so as not to leave him out, but the old dog democrats lead it all, including when Obama would speak and what he would say even, and the fact that he WAS allowed to speak (to lead their little group there — LET, ALLOWED, PERMITTED to do).

OK, so Obama is ‘change’, like this gal (whom I never heard of in conservative circles in D.C.) is conservative.

Sorry, I don’t usually do this sarcasm, but I don’t like it when the press calls some idiot a prominent conservative when they are not either.

Even if you accept Parker’s premise (which I don’t), Palin dropping off the ticket now would cause far more harm to the McCain candidacy than good. The fact that Parker isn’t smart or well-informed enough to know that demonstrates that she’s obviously clueless.

My guess is that the phrase "prominent conservative commentator Kathleen Parker" would have received exactly 0 Google hits 24 hours ago. My guess is that it will have many thousands of hits in a few weeks.

Even if you agree with her premise, you can't possibly agree with the conclusion. If Palin were to drop out "for the good of the party", then it would tell the left that all they have to do is be shrill enough and they can derail any public figure they want. Anyone entering public office with an R next to their name would be treated like Bork to the power of 50 billion.

You wanna tell Palin to suck it up, fine. You want to tell her to study harder, fine. But to suggest that she's totally incapable of growing into presidential material is just insane.

Parker has been pretty much poo-pooing Palin from the get go.

Read her columns about Palin leading up to this one.

Parker is another effete snob down on a "hick"!

“As many of you no doubt noticed, I have been less than impressed with Palin: beyond good looks and a decent storyline, there is not much there.”

And you are basing this judgment on what, a couple of interviews with pundits who politically oppose her and who were trying to make her look bad? Actually, ‘there's not much there’ could be applied to a huge segment of elected officials, and of the MSM.

Who is Kathleen Parker? And why is she prominent if people haven't heard of her?

Palin should step down, conservative commentator says *GAG*

She is right. In fact all conservatives should remove themselves from any sort of leadership position. McCain should concede the election and resign from the Senate. Conservative Talk radio should be taken off the air. All members of the NRA rounded up and shot [poetic justice]. All pro-lifers should be put in concentration camps. We should all just give all of our income to the government.

I know I am missing a few more talking points here. Give me a hand will ya?

But you have to admit she is great entertainment. She speaks her mind and truth is a rare thing. It’s refreshing to have someone not in the mealy mouthed middle of the road.

I never heard of this commentator person. But then - I had not heard of Sarah until she got the nod.

I had predicted that McCain would pick her before she got the nod. It was the perfect choice. It still is.

“there is not much there”

Why? Because she isn’t an ivy league asshat?

Is Obama more qualified? Was Clinton? Clinton was the governor of a low ranked State. How about Carter? Maybe JFK? Young Senator to President. She has been an executive, a governor, and a mayor. What are you looking for in a President?

Confession: I love Barack Obama and I love Sarah Palin — both for different reasons. They both also scare me to death.

I love Obama for his style, grace, intellect and his way with words. I want the healing power that an Obama presidency could deliver to this country.

I love Palin for her chutzpah, courage, maverickness and her authenticity. As a woman, I want her to be fantastic. I want her to expose the fraudulence of identity politics and show the world that Woman is not just one thing.

But my inner eye is watching. And my inner voice is saying: These are not good enough reasons.

-- Kathleen Parker... Idiot!
