Rasmussen: O 50 - M 44
Rasmussen ^ | 9/27/2008 | Rasmussen

Posted on 09/27/2008 6:41:56 AM PDT by ubaldus

Obama's lead in Ras' tracker is now at 6 points (from 5 pts yday and 1 pt a week ago). Since Rasmussen fixes the party ID breakdown at D +5.5, McCain must be trailing with the independents now.

Imo, the only thing which can make it close is a stock market recovery in October. Probably bailout-induced.

totally irrelevant poll...

its pre-bracelet.

Obama was awful, and it will slowly resonate in the American psyche.

I agree.

The economy is going to elect Hussein--just like it elected Slick,,,and kept Slick in office.

Hussein is the luckiest man alive, next to Ringo Starr, of course.

This is VERY scary. It really is, and I’m not sure what McCain can do. The MSM won’t even be honest about him winning a debate.

If he wins I am buying a sailboat. Heading for margaritaville... and chilling in the bahamas til the riots calm down. This will be the real life sequal to Atlas Shrugged.

McCain won the debate, imho, I guess the problem is the famous independents are idiots. Their knee jerk reaction that Obama would be “better” on the economy is preposterous. I’ve met people like this, even “moderate republicans” who say republicans are “war mongers” and the democrats are “better for the people”.

Ross Perot got Bill Clinton elected. Many people were pissed about Bush’s ‘Read My Lips’ broken promise.

The debate was a draw. Perhaps it will stop the slide in the polls - that’s the best scenario.

I hope McCain can make it close, like Ford did in 1976. Then at least there are some recovery scenarios in 2010-2012.

The only reason Ross Perot was a factor....was the ECONOMY!!

Again, the tanking stock market and the mess on Wall Street is going to elect Hussein. What an unbelievable stroke of luck for someone who isn't qualified to run a 7/11.

Look on the bright side...Obama having the lead makes it less likely he will dump Biden for Hillary.

just saying

When was the last time the MSM ever said a Republican won a debate?

This is not good.

They need to reintro Wright and the rest of the ChiTown thugs in a hurry. Or it could be over.

EQ: How is it that a community organizer with zero business and/or econmmic background is now considered a whiz on the economy?

The MSM canNOT give Republicans credit for anything good. It's just not in their DNA.

Just like they canNOT pay for food or drinks WITH THEIR OWN MONEY. They just canNOT do it.

For the first year or so he is not going to run anything. Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, Dingell are going to define the financial and energy policy (expect some Climate Change legislation; and a lot of money thrown to delinquent homebuyers).

Don’t know who is going to be in charge the foreign policy aspect, probably Biden and some Slick’s guys Obama will be forced to hire. If this is so, that would actually qualify as good news.

they are saving Wright for the last two weeks, after the debates are done.

Right now, financial news overwhelm any other noise, no point to try any new campaign points till the credit markets are in the tailspin,

I keep hearing supposed independents this morning and after the debates say sh!t like “All McCain did was talk about the past and what he has done and where he has been...very serious...Obama talked about the future and was hopeful...he spoke to me about the issues I cared about”

As I said last night...I love my country to death. But I loathe a majority of the people that reside in it today.

Underlying problem is Obama’s favorables. He doesn’t deserve it but has it in every poll. People should doubt Obama much more, he is a leftist in moderate clothing. Lord knows there have been devastating revelations aboout Obama “God Damn America”, Bill Ayers, most liberal senator, and on and on.

It’s a combo of changing demographics and republican failure to hit democrats hard enough. If a majority think Obama is “good” he’s probably going to win.

Tragic because with a dem Congress he is going to make all illegals legal, ruin Iraq, disappoint our friends and coddle our worst enemies, raise taxes, redistribute wealth, stop oil production, prevent nuclear energy, abandon missile defenses, weaken the military and our nuclear deterrent. Oh yeah and give us a left wing Supremne Court for generations.

For starters.

The Palin effect is wearing off, she is being hammered in every corner of our so called impartial media. To be honest she has not delivered the same type of fight in her interviews that she did at the convention. Not her fault but the truth is her initial effect is wearing off and McCain fumbled the economy ball by not attacking the Democrats as the cause of this mess. If he wants to stick to his tax and earmark theme he needs to expalin HOW it works and contrast that to Obama’s.
