dollar just BARELY stronger from last week close, by maybe 0.94. (106.2 yen to dollar).

The Australian market has opened exactly the same. Many stocks down, but very slightly. Some mild rises in oil and gold shares.

The weather is cool and cloudy in Sydney. It has been a cold Sept, no doubt due to global warming.
