Gwen Ifill, Thursday night's moderator, has a book coming out inauguration day titled The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama
I can't believe that this can't get some traction anywhere. I've posted this several times here because we need to get the word out before the debate. I sent to Drudge...crickets. This is a tremendous conflict of interest and nobody seems to care.

go read the transcripts for washington week the show she hosts

I say her and her 4 democrat hack guests are biased, no need to wait till after the debate
Send it to Rush. He’ll get a kick out of this.
I’m not that rabid about “media bias” and I thought Ifill did a good job previously as a debate moderator. But as she is coming out with this book it is clear she needs to recuse herself from the VP debate and probably should resign from the News Hour and Washington Week.
I can’t find the article about this that was posted here but we have known this for months.
The Democrats are liars and thieves, and Republicans are cowards and fools.
Only the handful of conservative Republicans in the House of Representatives have stood their ground against the evil inside the Beltway.
Media bias alert. VP debate moderator is the author of soon-to-be-released book about the Obamessiah.
I know as I posted it several months ago. I’m just trying to bring it to the fore now as the debate is in two days.
Gwen.I’s glaring conflict of interest notwithstanding, one could make the case that Joseph Goebbels was a fair moderator at times.
I avoid PBS but in the 90s (before I had satellite) I would watch a bit. I remember Ifill was a Clinton groupie.
What is wrong with McCain and his handlers?
Oh, I know, he's practicing "reaching across the aisle" and lets just all git along and sing kumbaya.
I’m glad you posted again. I had not heard about this. It is a financial conflict, worse than the usual ideological bias.
I wish her a happy November and December filling those promised 272 pages. May the result will be so uplifting as to sour a generation of libtards on political involvement!
Wow. I guess she’s going to do everything she can to get old Barry/Plugs elected. Who wants to buy a book about Obama if he loses (and, of course, the premise is outdated, because, obviously, the Obama campaign wasn’t that “breakthrough”)
Ifill’s book presupposes an Obama victory. On January 20, 2009, it may either be heading for the best seller list or the bargain bin. It is obvious that Ifill has a horse in this race and is extremely biased.
Just think if the tables were turned and...
1. McCain or Palin spent over two decades in the church of a racist preacher?
2. McCain or Palin got their political start with a unrepentant terrorist whose actions led to the deaths of Americans?
3. McCain made a smirky reference to hair plugs on a pig?
4. McCain was rated the most extreme conservative member of the US Senate?
5. McCain was an empty suit with absolutely no meaningful legislation or legislative impact on his country?
The VP debates look like they will be like a two on one basketball game. Sarah will not win by being gentle.

PBS’s Ifill Fawns Over Michelle Obama on MSNBC
Michelle Obama has to find a way to be more amazing and more emotional than Ted Kennedy. If it looks like Ted Kennedy actually walks across that stage tonight and appears in some fashion in person and speaks, its gonna be an emotional highpoint. Michelle Obama, however, also has to deal with preconceptions about who she is. A lot of people have never seen anything that looks like a Michelle Obama before. Shes educated, shes beautiful, shes tall, she tells you what she thinks and they hope that she can tell a story about Barack Obama and about herself.
Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin should buy a couple copies, sign them and mail them to Barry after their inauguration: Signed, President and Vice President.
It’s not a matter of not criticizing the liberal. Of course we criticize the liberal.
We’re just really tired of pubbies not defending themselves. We’ve had the inept presidential public relations department for years.
It’s the major reason the war is an issue is that they couldn’t find the wherewithal to defend the wmd/alqaeda issue.
They put Palin on with known hostile interviewers and ignore Hume, Limbaugh, etc. Why not just tell them to go suck eggs.
Here’s a line: “We don’t accept the validity of your news coverage.” Easy to say. Just say it.
Create a stir.
McCain would have done just as good last week NOT to go to that debate.
