I sent this to PBS

I thought you were suppose to be fair. Could Ann Coulter do a follow up debate? How do we know she did not give Obama campaign the questions last week. How could she NOT have a conflict of interest. There is no way PBS did not know a long time ago she was big Obama backer and was writing this book. I don't think we could trust anyone at this point. It is so obvious 90% of all tv, newsprint... including you are against anyone who is pro-life, pro-family, pro-God and pro-responsiblity.

I know. She'll ask a couple hard questions to Biden to make it look fair. Problem is, we all believe he had the answers last week.

Because there are far more left-leaning journalists than right-leaning journalists, it would be far more biased to have a right-leaning “journalist” if you really think about it. That proves that this is balanced.

She has yet to write the chapter on Obama, Ifill said, and she wondered why anyone would assume the book will be favorable to Obama.

"Do you think they made the same assumptions about Lou Cannon when he wrote his book about Reagan?" asked Ifill, host of PBS' "Washington Week" and senior correspondent on "The NewsHour."

  1. Lou Cannon didn't moderate a VP debate while he was writing a book and neglected to tell the Debate Commission about it.

  2. Lou Cannon didn't write a book entitled "Politics and Race in the Age of Reagan".
Sorry, but Ifill's comments are nothing short of disingenuous.

It was unclear how McCain definitively knew that the book, which is still being written, "is favorable to Sen. Obama."

Let me guess, a book subtitled "Age of Obama" is going to be about Ayres and Rezko.

It's bad enough they're all biased, but it's downright insulting when they lie after being caught and then try and impugn the people asking questions.

No to arrive at that inference would be credulity boarding on the obtuse. Does anyone think Ifill would declare an "Age of Obama" that ushered in a new generation of black leaders as a negative, unless he lost the election, which of course is the outcome at the heart of the conflict of interest?

Ifill is on NPR or PBS? (same thing)

What more info does one need?

ABC absolutely spins this against McCain. They ask how he knows the book will be favorable to Obama. Well, the title - "the Age of Obama" - gives a strong clue, not to mention Ifill's fawning comments regarding Obama for the entire duration of the campaign. Would anyone at ABC care to place a wager on whether the book will be favorable to Obama?

And can you imagine ABC not saying that the appointment of a Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity as moderator would "raise serious questions" about the fairness of the debate? My contempt for the MSM grows every day.

"Ifill said today in an interview with the Associated Press, that Obama's story will be only a small part of the book, which is focused on how politics in the African-American community have changed. Other black public figures, including Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.) will be profiled as well"

Powell is a liberal. So a more fair question would be: Is J.C. Watts or Michael Steele profiled?

I thought not.

Ifill is in an impossible position. With her future earnings on the line, she has a GLARING conflict of interest. If she had any integrity — and was absolutely sure she could be entirely objective — she would have turned down the moderating gig. That she not only hasn’t, but apparently WON’T, even with all the heat now on her, says that she has absolutely no integrity.

Ifill’s book will have to be amazing if it deals with politics “in the age of Obama” and yet she claims his story is only a SMALL part. The age of Obama sounds like it will be all about him—that would disappoint readers who judge a book by it’s cover. Is she going to bait and switch her liberal readers?

McCain is too wishy washy on this.

Ifill as moderator is absolutely a deal breaker.

How stupid will the GOP look in years to come that their POTUS candidate was so cowed by PC that he couldn't even insist on a fair moderator?

And then to suck up to Ifill... 'I know she will be fair..."

Sickening, even to the Rats, I bet, to see people so cowed by the race thing.

I would tell Ifill...You're totally corrupt, you lack even a shred of self awareness, or you are totally stupid: Pick one.

Unclear? Hmm...so "The Age Of Obama" might be unfavorable? What is unclear here is just how stupid this particular reporter is, or thinks we are.
