Your list is great! I have been campaigning for McCain/Palin from home and bringing facts to friends who are among those Obama supporters who know NOTHING about Obama’s plans for America. The following is my most recent email sent to many on my email list. Anyone who wants to use it, feel free. :)
Why I Will Not Vote For The Obama/Biden Ticket:
Character/Judgement: I do not trust Obama and the fact that the following folks have voiced support for or favor Obama is very scary to me. If you are not sure who the following people are please Google their names. William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, Frank Davis, Tony Rezco, Louis Farrakhan, Danial Ortega, Raul Castro, Raila Ordinga (Obama’s cousin), Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
National Security: Obama is against the Patriot Act which allows our Government to work with other countries to monitor calls from outside America between those who are on the terrorist watch list. It is well documented that the Patriot Act has prevented or foiled terrorist acts in our country and other countries because we work with our allies and share intelligence information through the Patriot Act. Obama has said he would get rid of the Patriot Act.
Obama says he would disarm our nuclear weapons and ask other countries to do the same. I certainly would not trust other countries to disarm after we did! Obama has also said he would “slow up our missile defense program”. I believe the old saying that peace is kept through strength is very true.
War On Terror: Obama says he voted against the Iraq war. Fact is, he voiced opposition to the Iraq war but was not in the US Senate when the members of Congress voted for the war. Obama along with other Democrats in Congress have said the war is lost, we can’t win, the surge won’t work, and on and on. But Obama finally “kind of” admitted that the surge in Iraq has worked on the Bill O’Riley show, but his withdrawal plans are still not in agreement with General Patreaus and other military leaders on the ground who certainly know victory in Iraq is near.
Economy: If one does any research on the cause of the present economy crisis they would find out about the actual causes. Looking back at the beginning with the Community Reinvestment Act legislation signed into law by President Clinton and the growth of FannyMae /FreddyMac and actions of FannyMae’s Franklin Raines , the causes are clear. Warnings about the coming crisis were ignored by Democrats in Congress and that fact is on video for ALL to see. It is sad that so many folks don’t have time to do any research to learn about Obama’s voting record in the Senate on this issue or his being the leader of ACORN in Chicago.
Taxes: The tax issue is really an economy issue. Obama says he will give a tax break to 95 % of Americans. Kind of hard to do when only 62% actually pay taxes. Obama will not only raise taxes for everyone who pays taxes, but those who make a total income of $55,000 (not 250,000) or more will pay a much higher percentage in taxes. He will put an end to present tax cuts that expire in 2010 (including the death tax) which would raise taxes even more and cause great damage to our economy. In my opinion Obama is for “fair/equal distribution of wealth” otherwise known as Socialism/Communism.
Energy: The energy crisis is very closely tied to the economy. We need to be energy independent, and 85 % of Americans are for us becoming exactly that. Obama was completely against more drilling for oil in our country, but now has changed on that issue by saying we need to drill but the oil companies need to drill on the lands the Government leased to them that they haven’t drilled on yet. Obama doesn’t mention the fact that the reason the Oil companies haven’t drilled on a lot of that leased land is because they know there is no oil there! Why drill on land you know will come up empty?
Illegal Immigration: Obama will allow all illegal immigrants presently in our country to become citizens and become immediately able to government health care, education, higher education tuition support and social security benefits. He says he will pay for this with his tax increases and funds taken from our military budget as he cuts the size of our military. No thanks!
1st Amendment: Obama is for the Fairness Doctrine and would pass it within his first 100 days in office with the help of a Democratically controlled Congress. Once the “free market based radio stations” had “government mandates of fairness” what do you think would be next? Internet maybe??
2nd Amendment: Obama says he is for the right to bare arms. However, most folks don’t know about his voting record on second Amendment issues. Visit the NRA web site and see his rating on 2nd Amendment issues. If you don’t believe the NRA web site then look up his voting record from the US Congress web site. It is there.
Partial Birth Abortion: This is a big issue for me. Obama has said that he would overturn the ban on partial birth abortion which would allow women to abort a baby at the time of it’s birth. The ban was passed unanimously by Congress, but Obama would overturn it if he could. He also voted against a bill when he was in the Illinois state senate that would allow doctors to give medical aid to a baby that actually survived an abortion. Now Obama says he did not vote that way, but the voting record is there for anyone who is interested to seek the truth. Obama can not even answer the question as to when he believes life begins, saying to answer the question was above his paygrade! If not at conception, then when does a human life begin and have human rights under our constitution? 9 months? That won’t work as he would allow babies to be aborted at 9 months. So when does he believe humans receive human rights? I still do not know the answer to that question. If you know, please tell me what it is.
Health Care: Obama says he will mandate universal government run health care which means the government would be in charge of our health care. Just take a look at other countries that have done this and you will see that it is NOT GOOD! Right now we have people coming to the USA to receive health care because they can not get the care they need when they need it under their government run health care program. Free market competition in health care providers is what brings the costs of health care down and provides more health care choices for Americans.
Education: Obama says he will lower cost of higher education to young people in return for their service to our country. What kind of service? By attending his youth camps like he organized in Chicago? Obama also says he would keep the “No Child Left Behind Act” (which was written by Senator Ted Kennedy) as he believes that no changes are needed and it is just fine. I don’t, and neither does Sarah Palin and I heard her say that myself.
Appointment of Supreme Court Justices: Senator Obama does not approve of Supreme Court Justices who follow the constitution instead of ruling from the bench. This is obvious since he said he would not have approved Justice Clarence Thomas who is a true follower of our Constitution.
PS: Research does take time and many don’t have the time. I do have the time, and have tried to do my best in searching through the “lies and spin” to get to the truth. But having said that, I ask that if ANYONE finds something I have stated to be UNTRUE, I ask that you PLEASE let me know as I continue to seek the truth. Perhaps if you share this with your friends they might point out where I am wrong so it will help us all in seeking the truth. I am always open to learning the facts and desire help in checking out things about all the candidates.
I believe he was not born in the United States and cannot be President. I am waiting for the surprise to come from Bill Clinton of all people sometime soon, which would prevent the DNC from getting organized before the election with a new candidate properly. I believe the Clintons cannot stand Obama Hussein and would love to torpedo his election.

Many of us have problems with McCain, but when comparing the two of them I can’t think of even one policy of Obama’s that I prefer to McCain’s. Not one.
